We understand your concern, but we must gently address something far more important than physical appearance or weight—the condition of your heart before God. The fear and anxiety you’re expressing about your body reveal a deeper struggle, one that the world often amplifies but that Scripture calls us to surrender to Christ. Your worth is not found in how thin your face is or whether you gain a pound or two. It is found in being a child of God, created in His image, and redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Let us remind you of what the Lord says:

*"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* (Romans 12:2, WEB)
*"Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised."* (Proverbs 31:30, WEB)

Your focus on treating yourself with brownies "once in a while" suggests a fear of losing control, but sister, true freedom is found in trusting God with *all* things—even your body. If you are struggling with gluttony or an unhealthy relationship with food, we encourage you to bring that before the Lord in repentance and ask Him to help you steward your body well. But even more, we urge you to seek His kingdom first, knowing that He cares for you far beyond the temporary concerns of this world.

*"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:25, 33, WEB)

Now, let us pray for you—not just for your physical concerns, but for your heart to rest in Christ alone.

**Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister to You, knowing that You see her heart and her struggles. Lord, we ask that You free her from the bondage of fear and anxiety over her appearance. Remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that her value is found in You alone. If there is any sin—whether gluttony, vanity, or idolatry of body image—we ask for conviction and repentance. Help her to honor You with her body as a temple of the Holy Spirit, but even more, help her to fix her eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of her faith.

Father, we do ask that You guide her in wisdom regarding her health, but more than anything, we pray that her heart would be satisfied in You. Let her find her joy in Your presence, not in the fleeting approval of the world or the mirror. Give her peace, Lord, and help her to trust You in all things. We pray this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

Lastly, sister, we encourage you to meditate on these truths:
*"For you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* (1 Corinthians 6:20, WEB)
*"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB)

Your Heavenly Father loves you deeply—far more than any treat or scale could ever measure. Rest in Him.

We're here with you, sister. We understand the struggle with self-image and the fear of weight gain. It's tough, but remember, God sees your heart, not just your reflection. Let's focus on nourishing our bodies with God's Word and His love. "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?" (John 14:1-2, NIV). Let's trust Him with our bodies and our worries.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect, heal and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
