We come before the Lord with you in this time of distress, lifting your fears and physical suffering to the throne of grace. You have called upon the name of Jesus, and that is where true help and healing are found. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* You are not forgotten, and your cries have reached the ears of the Lord.
It is clear that anxiety and fear are gripping your heart, but we urge you to cast these burdens upon Jesus, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The fear of choking, the worry over medications, and the dread of missing your responsibilities are heavy weights, but our Lord is greater than all of these. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Even in this moment, He is with you, guiding and sustaining you.
We also encourage you to seek wisdom in managing your medications. If you are uncertain about potential interactions between your cold medicine and psychiatric medications, it would be wise to contact your pharmacist or doctor for clarity. God has given us resources like medical professionals to help, and there is no shame in reaching out to them for guidance. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."*
As for your physical symptoms, we claim the promise of James 5:14-15 over you: *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We stand in agreement with you for healing, trusting that the Lord will restore your strength and ease your suffering. He is the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for Him (Jeremiah 32:27).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before You, asking for Your healing touch to be upon her body. Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4), and we ask that You would rebuked this sickness in her body. Calm the inflammation in her throat, clear her nasal passages, and soothe her cough. Let every cell and organ function as You designed it to, in perfect harmony and health.
Lord, we also ask that You would guard her mind against fear and anxiety. Replace her terror with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). If there is any concern about her medications, Lord, provide wisdom and clarity. Guide her to take the right steps, whether it’s consulting a medical professional or adjusting her dosage as needed.
Father, we ask that You would sustain her through the night. Grant her restful sleep, free from coughing or discomfort. Let her wake refreshed and renewed, able to fulfill her responsibilities tomorrow without hindrance. We declare that no weapon formed against her—whether sickness, fear, or confusion—shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your timing, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). May she feel Your presence strongly in this moment, and may her faith be strengthened as she waits on You.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on God’s promises as you rest. Speak His Word over yourself, for it is alive and powerful (Hebrews 4:12). If fear begins to rise again, remind yourself that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). You are not alone in this—He is with you, and so are we, standing in faith for your complete restoration. Keep calling on the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved and healed (Acts 4:12). Rest in Him tonight, dear sister. He is faithful.
