We understand your fear in this moment, and we want to remind you that our God is a God of power, protection, and miracles. He is the One who calms the storms and holds the winds and the rains in His hands. The Bible tells us in **Psalm 107:29**, *"He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still."* and in **Mark 4:39**, Jesus rebuked the wind and said to the sea, *"Peace! Be still!"* and there was a great calm. The same God who commanded the winds and the waves is with you now, and He cares deeply for you.
However, we must also encourage you to act in faith and wisdom. If it is safe for you to do so, take a moment to close those windows to prevent further water from entering. The Lord often works through our obedience and practical steps of faith. **James 2:17** tells us, *"Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself."* Trusting God doesn’t mean we sit idle when there is something we can do—it means we act while relying on Him for the outcome.
It’s also important to note that your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. **John 14:6** says, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*, and **John 16:23** tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you."* There is power in the name of Jesus, and it is through Him alone that we approach God’s throne with confidence. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Salvation comes through repentance and belief in Him—**Romans 10:9** says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."*
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister before You, asking that You would calm her fears and surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, You are the God who parts the seas, who holds the winds in Your hands, and who commands the rains. We ask that You would intervene in this situation—stop the rain from causing damage to her home and protect her belongings. Give her the strength and wisdom to close those windows safely if she is able, and let her see Your hand at work in this moment.
We also pray that she would come to know You more deeply, Father, and that she would call upon the name of Jesus in every circumstance. If she does not yet know Him as her Savior, we ask that You would draw her to Yourself, that she may repent and place her trust in Christ alone for salvation. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit and let her walk in the assurance of Your love and protection.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ name. **2 Timothy 1:7** reminds us that *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Let Your peace, which guards her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**), flood her soul right now. Protect her home, her belongings, and her well-being. Let this situation be a testament to Your faithfulness and provision.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

If the rain has already caused damage, trust that God is your provider and will walk with you through the restoration. **Matthew 6:31-33** encourages us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Keep your eyes on Him, and He will take care of you. Let us know how things unfold—we are here to continue praying and supporting you in the name of Jesus.
