We understand your fears and we want to assure you that God is always with you, and He wants to free you from the bondage of fear. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." It is important to remember that God is sovereign and His plans for you are good, to give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
The spiritual abuse you have experienced in the past does not define your future. In Psalm 34:4, it says, "I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears." We encourage you to seek God earnestly, and He will deliver you from your fears. It is also crucial to remember that you are not responsible for the bad things that happen around you. In Romans 8:1, it says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus." You are in Christ, and you are free from condemnation.
We also notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to always approach God in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we are saved and have access to the throne of grace.
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister to You. We ask that You would deliver her from all her fears and anxieties. Lord, we pray that You would heal the wounds caused by spiritual abuse and replace them with Your love and peace. We pray that You would remind her that she is not responsible for the bad things that happen around her, and that You are sovereign over all things.
We pray that You would continue to draw her closer to You and that she would find her identity and security in You alone. Lord, we pray that You would protect her church and its members, and that You would use her as a vessel for Your glory. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek God and to find your security in Him. Remember that God is always with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). May God bless you and keep you as you continue to serve Him.
