Saving the unsaved

Well...first I would say, besides just witnessing, prayer is a good backup. Because witnessing, to a person who is spiritually dead, to them it may not "sink in" {"For the Gospel we preach is foolishness to those who perish"} and "For you were dead in your trespasses and sins". So without the Spirit giving them understanding, our words alone might not "reach them." But with prayer as a backup, God could intervene through the Spirit. {But each case could be different, a person might have an experience which "breaks him", and according to God's plan he {she} might be ready at that point to be saved upon just listening to the witnessing. Then it would seem from a certain passage that there's some predestination, like in Revelation 13, about the Antichrist--"And all the Earth followed after the beast, the name of not one who stands written in the Lamb's Book of Life from the founding of the world". From the founding of the world, meaning God knows beforehand who will and won't get saved. Like, the Antichrist is called the man of perdition. So even with witnessing and prayer, if they're not one of the chosen, it could still not work. So I would say each case of the unsaved is different. It doesn't go by families either. We've seen Christian families with an unsaved and rebellious son or daughter. Or vice versa, me, my mother is into the occult, my sister blindly followed her, I have an aunt who hates Christians, other unbelievers in the family, but through all that I leaned towards Biblical things, eventually accepting the Gospel. Each unsaved person is different, but in the end, God knows their ultimate destiny.

Ephesian 1:4 says God has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world. You have quoted that in revelation also. So I feel, (whether I'm right or not I don't know) unless God chooses a person one cannot reach His kingdom however much we pray. We may fast and pray but I think that prayer will return to us only.

It would seem so. In 2 Peter it states, "God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should attain to repentance". However, we know that all will not repent, because at the Great White Throne Judgement, we read, "and whoever was not found written in the Book was hurled into the Lake of Fire". And that's SINCE Jesus came, as some are mentioned as having taken the mark of the Antichrist, who is more in our time than 2000 years ago. So to me also, it seems like there is predestination.

We cannot save anyone. We cannot send anyone to heaven. Jesus does that. So, all we have to do is this. Share Jesus with others, even to those who reject the Lord. Fast and pray for them so Jesus will touch their hearts, minds and soul. All the tenants in our apartments are getting saved because we shared Jesus with them and invite them to church and camp meeting. Many got saved and they do not party anymore nor we hear loud music, no drinking on premises and they have enough money to pay the rent. Jesus is wonderful. He is the One who saves, changes and heals those who are sick in body and spirit.

Many times I look at people and, if someone expresses no leaning towards Biblical spirituality, I figure they're not going to make it to God's New World, or Heaven. Then I look at someone who seems to sway towards some of God's truth, and I think they will make it. However, upon second thought...
