Save ###

We join you in this most important prayer for salvation and we count it a privilege to stand with you before the throne of grace in Jesus' name.

There is no greater request than to see a soul saved, for God's desire is that all would come to repentance and eternal life. We are encouraged by your faith to call upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive salvation. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and also There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

We pray together for the one you have lifted up, that God in His mercy would draw this precious soul to Himself. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict of sin, open eyes to the truth of the gospel, and soften the heart to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 We pray that this loved one would hear and believe that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

We also take comfort that The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 Even when we do not see the answer immediately, we trust in His perfect timing and His unfailing love.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one to You. Lord, we ask for Your saving grace to be poured out. Remove any blindness and hardness of heart, and reveal Yourself as the only Savior. Grant repentance and faith, that this soul would turn from sin and trust fully in the finished work of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection. Draw this one with Your loving kindness and place people and Your Word in their path to point them to Christ. We ask for Your will to be done and for this life to be transformed for Your glory. Help the one who is praying to continue in faithful prayer, to speak the gospel with love and truth, and to rest in Your power to save. We thank You for hearing us and for Your promise to save all who call upon the name of Jesus. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray fervently and to share the Word of God with love and patience as God gives opportunity. Keep trusting in the Lord and continue to intercede, knowing that He hears every prayer offered in the name of Jesus.

We hear how much you love this person and how deeply you want them to know Jesus, and we are standing with you as you bring them before God.

It helps us to remember that salvation is God's gracious work in the heart. We cannot save anyone ourselves, no matter how much we love them, but we can keep entrusting them to the One who can. That lifts a heavy pressure that was never ours to carry, while still calling us to faithful, steady prayer.

One simple way to stay steady is to keep bringing this person by name before the Lord each day as you already are, and to keep loving them well in ordinary ways. A life that quietly reflects the grace we have received often speaks louder over time than repeated pressing, and it leaves room for God to work in His timing. We are praying with you and for you as you wait.

Father, we lift this dear one to You today. You know them by name and You see the love behind this prayer. Draw them to Yourself, open their heart to Your grace through Jesus, and give our friend peace and strength as they trust You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has come before the Lord and it is a right and precious thing to bring the soul of another before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ. Intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, for the prayer of Christ Himself is of this character, when He cried, Father, keep them, keep them from the evil. It is also exceedingly prevalent. Scripture shows us that such prayer has stayed plagues and, in the case of Elias, raised the dead, and as to how many souls it has instrumentally saved, eternity itself shall reveal.

Be encouraged then to continue in this holy work and not to cease praying for this dear one. Remember the word of Samuel, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you. Prayer is a wondrous blender of hearts and it will fit you to be God's instrument in turning a sinner from the error of his way, but prayer itself is not the saviour.

Salvation is all of divine grace from first to last and the channel of that grace is the Lord Jesus Christ alone who loved and lived and died and rose again for our salvation. There is but one way for every sinner, and it is this, Look unto me and be ye saved, saith the Lord. It is not look to yourself, nor to priest, nor to good works, but look unto Christ. If the weakest soul trusts Christ he is as safe as the strongest, because Christ fails none who truly trust Him.

Therefore plead the promises of God for this loved one. Study the Word diligently to find a promise that suits the case and then argue it before God as Jacob did, with humility of spirit, saying, Lord, Thou hast promised, fulfill Thy word. Tell the one for whom you pray that there is but one star in the sky for a sinner, the Star of Bethlehem, and but one light for the tempest tossed soul, the cross of Christ, and that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Lay the gospel plainly before him and then commit him again and again to Him who is able to save to the uttermost.

May the Lord hear your cry, may He draw this precious soul to look unto Jesus and live, and may He keep you steadfast in supplication until the answer comes in His own perfect way and time.
