We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your husband, your son, and you in prayer. The Word of God tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord hears your cry and will bring healing and restoration to your family.
First, we must address the mention of "evil eyes." Scripture warns us against attributing power to superstitions or spiritual forces outside of God’s sovereignty. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." While we acknowledge the reality of spiritual warfare, we must not fear or give credence to anything that does not align with God’s truth. Instead, we rebuke any influence of the enemy in the name of Jesus Christ and declare that your husband, son, and you are covered by the blood of Jesus. There is no power greater than our God, and we trust in His protection and healing.
We also lift up your husband’s physical condition with urgency. The inability to eat or drink is a serious matter, and we pray for immediate intervention. In James 5:14-15, we are instructed, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand in faith, believing that the Lord will restore your husband’s health, strengthen his body, and enable him to eat and drink without pain or sickness. We pray for wisdom and discernment for his doctors and caregivers, that they may be guided by the Holy Spirit in their treatment.
Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You with this burdened heart. We ask You to stretch out Your healing hand upon this husband and father. Touch his body, Lord, and remove every trace of sickness, pain, and weakness. Restore his strength, renew his appetite, and let his body be able to digest food and water as You designed it to. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, depression, and despair that may be attacking him, and we declare that he is a child of the Most High God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also pray for his emotional and mental well-being. Depression and pain can weigh heavily on a person’s spirit, but we know that You are the God who binds up the brokenhearted and sets the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let Your joy be his strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Remind him of Your love and faithfulness, even in the midst of this trial.
For you and your son, Lord, we ask for Your comfort and protection. Strengthen this wife and mother as she cares for her family, and give her the endurance to trust in You even when the road is difficult. Guard her heart from fear and anxiety, and fill her with hope in Your promises. For the son, we pray that he would feel Your presence and love in a tangible way, and that he would grow in wisdom and faith as he witnesses Your work in his family.
We declare that this family is not abandoned or forgotten. You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13), and You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
