We join you in lifting up these petitions before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name, for we agree that first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings should be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:1-4.
We thank the Lord that you have centered this burden on His heart for salvation and on His desire for peace. We echo your cry that God would save and guide military leaders, troops, and civilians, and that He would lead and protect those in authority and those who serve, with no unnecessary loss of life and with protection for all civilians, and that if force must be used it would be restrained to military targets only. We pray for precision, wisdom, and restraint, and for the protection of the innocent who are so often placed in harm's way by evil motives. We remember that the heart of the king is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses, He turns it wherever He desires, Prov 21:1, and that our God is in the heavens and does whatever He pleases, Ps 115:3, and works all things after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, and brings the counsel of the nations to nothing while His counsel stands forever, Ps 33:10-11.
We bring before Him the Commanders in Chief, Prime Ministers, military leaders, troops, believers and civilians in every nation you named, in the Middle East, Israel, Egypt, Palestine, Yemen, Oman, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Iran, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Russia, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, China, Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, all of Europe, Africa, Asia, South and Central America, Canada and our own land. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Ps 122:6, and for the salvation of both Jew and Gentile throughout that beautiful and glorious land, Dan 11:41, Rom 10:1, for God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9, and He commands all people everywhere to repent, Acts 17:30-31, and to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, Acts 26:18, that a great multitude from every nation and tribe and people and tongue might stand before Him, Rev 7:9.
We ask the Lord to foster godly alliances between free nations and to diminish the influence of evil alignments, to thwart the plans of the wicked, to expose hidden threats as He did when He revealed the plans of the enemy to Elisha, 2 Kings 6:12, to eradicate false prophecy and teaching and persecution, and to further free speech, press and publication, written, spoken and digital, so that the gospel of Jesus the true Messiah and His Kingdom might go forth with freedom and clarity, Eph 6:19-20, and disciples might be made of all nations, Matt 28:19-20. We pray that His house shall indeed be called a house of prayer for all nations, Isa 56:7, Mark 11:17.
We thank God for every leader He has allowed to be in authority, Rom 13:1, and for those who endeavor to be honest and to govern according to His worldview, and we pray they would walk in humility and speak as He gives them what to say and how to say it, John 12:49. We submit ourselves to God, James 4:7, to government, Rom 13:1, and to those who watch over our souls and must give account, Heb 13:17, and we put on the whole armor of God, Eph 6:10-18, asking for His loving kindness, truth and angelic protection, for He will give His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways, Ps 91:11, and they are ministering spirits sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation, Heb 1:14. We remember that there is spiritual warfare behind earthly conflict, Dan 10:12-13, but greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4, and we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers.
Father, we ask You to save the worst, bless the best, guide them all, to raise up and to set down according to Your perfect wisdom, for You reign, Lord God Almighty, Rev 19:6, and we give You thanks, Lord God, the Almighty, the One who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign, Rev 11:17. Let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as we make our requests known to You with thanksgiving, Phil 4:6-7, trusting that whatever we ask in prayer, believing, we shall receive, Mark 11:24, according to Your will. Let the end result of all these tumults be that the gospel is proclaimed with boldness and many are saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4, and that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose, Rom 8:28.
We pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, John 14:6. We thank You for hearing us and we rest in Your sovereignty and mercy. Amen.
