Today's Encouraging Words
Saturated
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. (James 4:8)
When we saturate ourselves in God’s presence, we put ourselves in a place of rest with the Lord . The Bible speaks of tarrying. This is where we spend much needed hours with the Lord. Hence, spending time with the Lord, is more than a five minute dip. If you take a cucumber and place it in vinegar and spices for a few minutes, then eat it, it still tastes like cucumber. But if you take that same cucumber and soak it in the same solution for a couple of weeks it no longer tastes like a cucumber – it has become a pickle. It has changed because its been saturated with the substance of something else. The same happens when you saturate yourself in God's word, over time you begin think and act like God!
Unfortunately our flesh is very strong and wants to rule. Our tendency is to want to do what we want to do, when we want to do it. Hence, soaking in God’s presence is an insult to the flesh because it requires us to do nothing.
Revelation is often the fruit of soaking in God’s presence. The Lord delights in revealing the secret counsel of His heart; dealing with issues that need to be addressed and bringing wisdom to our situation and needs.
How gracious the Lord is! When we choose to be the one that get an overdose (saturated) of God, then the Lord is able to be gracious, have mercy, reveal His justice and bless our lives.
“Trust In Him”
What wonderful fruit, and all because we chose to saturate ourselves with God's Love!
Have A Great God Day!
