satanic soccer

We join with you in Jesus' name and agree together that the Lord will cleanse your life from every influence that does not honor Him and that He will cast out every work of darkness that has attached itself through this area.

We understand your burden to be set free and to have nothing in your life that opens a door to the enemy. While a sport in itself is not inherently satanic, anything that becomes an idol, consumes our thoughts, leads us into ungodly associations, anger, gambling, envy, or takes the place that Christ alone should have can become a snare. The Word tells us, All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of anything 1 Corinthians 6:12 and Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God 1 Corinthians 10:31. We also take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5 and we are called to keep ourselves from idols 1 John 5:21.

We rejoice that you have come in the name of Jesus, for there is power in that name alone to save and deliver. We know that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12, yet we also have this promise, You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that You hear us when we call upon that name. We ask that You search this dear one's heart and life and by Your Holy Spirit reveal and remove every tie, memory, habit, object, relationship, entertainment, or influence connected to soccer that has brought darkness, oppression, distraction, or idolatry. We rebuke every work of satan and command it to leave in Jesus' name. We ask that You cleanse and fill every place once occupied by those things with Your presence, Your peace, and Your truth. Help our dear friend to submit fully to You, for Your Word says Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. Clothe us with the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11. Renew this mind by Your Word, that it may be transformed and not conformed to this world Romans 12:2, and help us to think on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report Philippians 4:8. We ask that You redeem the time and give new, godly purposes and joys that bring glory to You and draw this heart closer to Christ. We declare that he whom the Son sets free is free indeed and we thank You for the victory we have in Jesus. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to walk out this deliverance daily by staying in the Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers. If there are items, recordings, clothing, games, or media that continually draw you back or stir ungodly thoughts, remove them from your home. Replace that time with worship, Scripture, service, and wholesome fellowship. Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour 1 Peter 5:8, but as you draw near to God He will draw near to you. We stand with you for complete freedom and for a life wholly devoted to Christ.

We hear your heart in this request, you want to belong fully to Jesus and have nothing in your life that pulls you away from Him. That desire to walk cleanly with Him matters to God, and we are glad to stand with you in it.

Sometimes when we are wanting to be close to God, a particular activity or interest can start to feel heavy or troubling, and it helps to bring that unease into the light with Him and with other steady believers. Rather than staying focused on fear about influence, we have found it most freeing to focus on drawing near to Christ and letting Him fill the space, through regular prayer, time in Scripture, and fellowship with others who know you and can pray with you personally.

If soccer has become a source of distress or temptation for you, it could help to talk through the specifics with a trusted pastor or mature believer you know. You can share what in particular feels unsettling, pray together for wisdom and peace, and think practically about what boundaries or changes would help you walk with a clear conscience.

Father, we lift our friend to You and thank You for his desire to be Yours. We ask for Your protection, peace, and clear direction in his life. Where there is confusion or heaviness, bring calm. Fill his days with Your presence and help him grow in knowing what is from You and what draws him away. Lead him to supportive people who can walk alongside him. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Soccer isn't bad until it's a personal conviction. Why do you think it's bad, friend? I think I understand, I have a personal conviction to video games and I quit them completely.

I praying this in Jesus name, amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in seeking the Lord for true deliverance. There is a word of great comfort for such a cry, "Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom." That ransom is Christ Jesus our Lord, who was bound that His people might be free, and who was made to bear sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

We pray that the Lord will be gracious unto you and deliver you from every snare that would drag the soul down, whether it be the power of darkness itself or the subtler chains of an idol. Scripture says, "He has delivered us from the power of darkness," and this deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. We must look to our heavenly Father, altogether and alone, for it.

Take heed to the apostolic warning, "Little children, keep yourselves from idols." Any lawful thing, even a game, can become an idol when it flits from a pleasure to a master, when it steals the heart from Christ, wastes time which belongs to eternity, or enflames passions which ought to be kept under. At first sin catches us with the tiniest spider's cobwebs that can scarcely be seen, and they seem as though you could break from them in a moment, yet they strengthen into cords if not brought to Christ.

Therefore our prayer for you is this: that God would search your heart and cast out whatever in this matter has become an entanglement, an occasion of evil company, of pride, of anger, of covetousness, or of neglect of Christ. And if there be anything in it that is innocent in itself, that He would teach you to hold it in its right place, under the Lordship of Christ, and not above Him. Look not to forms or resolutions or feelings, but look to what Christ has done. Trust in His one great sacrifice, for He knows how to withdraw man from his purpose and hide pride from man, and like a careful dispenser He will deal with you in weight and measure, not in anger, but from His dear covenant love.

May the Lord who opens the ears of men and seals their instruction grant you joyful liberty as you behold sin punished upon the great Substitute and put away forever from all those who will only trust Him. May He keep you beneath the shadow of the cross, free indeed because the Son has made you free.

We pray that the Lord will keep you, cleanse you, and cause you to walk in the light, rejoicing in Jesus Christ, and that every chain which would bind you may be broken by Him who alone can loosen the prisoners. In the name of Jesus Christ our ransom and our deliverance, Amen.

Your prayer to be set free has been heard and I join you now in bringing it before the Lord.

The Scriptures teach us to flee from idolatry and that we cannot serve two masters. When any created thing, whether money, pleasure, or even a game, begins to rule our heart and take the place that belongs to God alone, it becomes an idol. It is not that God made these things evil in themselves, but our own disordered love can turn them into masters that lead us into a self chosen captivity, where like one who has lost good judgment we give our eyes and mouth and whole life over to what cannot satisfy. For that reason the apostle warns that covetousness is idolatry, and calls us to put away what is wicked and to be cleansed.

Christ came for two great purposes, to deliver us from evil and to bring us into sonship, so that we might receive the Spirit of adoption. Bare deliverance from sin would be a great gift, but He also fills us with countless blessings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. He does not only promise to remove what harms us, but to give us power to despise what once enslaved us and to walk in freedom.

So let us pray together. Father in heaven, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ alone, I ask that You cast out of this life anything that has taken Your rightful place, whether it be a love for soccer or any other entanglement that draws the heart away from You. Cleanse and set free, and fill what is emptied with Your Spirit, with love for Your Word, with prayer and with fellowship with Your people. Grant discernment to recognize what is harmful and strength to turn from it, and teach this heart to worship the Creator rather than the creature. Keep this soul in Your keeping, that You alone would be served and honored. In Jesus name Amen.

If soccer or any other interest has become a master over your time, thoughts, or affections, consider taking practical steps to flee from it for a season. Remove what tempts you, redeem your time in prayer and Scripture, and fill your days with what builds faith. God is faithful to deliver those who call on Him and to lead them into the freedom of His sons.
