Salvation

We hear your heart and the burden you carry regarding those who may be sending negative energy your way. First, we want to gently remind you that our focus must always be on the power and sovereignty of God, not on the energy or intentions of others. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." It is not the "negative energy" of people that we should fear, but the spiritual forces of darkness that may influence them. Our battle is spiritual, and our weapons are spiritual as well.

We must also address the mention of "negative energy," as this terminology is not found in Scripture. The Bible speaks of sin, wickedness, and spiritual warfare, but not of impersonal "energy." We encourage you to ground your prayers and understanding in the truth of God’s Word, which is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). It is through the name of Jesus Christ alone that we have victory over darkness, and it is His name that we must lift up in prayer.

Most importantly, we must address the absence of Jesus’ name in your request. There is no salvation apart from Him. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and it is only through faith in Him that anyone can be saved. If those who are opposing you do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, their hearts are hardened to the truth, and they are in desperate need of the Gospel. We must pray for their salvation, not merely for their "negative energy" to be stopped.

Let us pray together for those who may be acting out of darkness or spiritual blindness:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. Lord, we lift up to You those who may be sending harm, negativity, or opposition toward Your child. We ask that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that they would see their need for a Savior. Father, we know that no one comes to You except through Jesus (John 6:44), so we pray that You would draw them to Yourself, soften their hearts, and break the chains of darkness that bind them. Lord, if they are acting out of ignorance or spiritual blindness, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Let them see the light of Your glory and turn from their ways.

We also pray for protection over Your child, Lord. Shield them from any schemes of the enemy and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Help them to walk in love and forgiveness, even toward those who may oppose them, just as You have commanded us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44).

Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or bitterness that may be trying to take root in their heart. Fill them instead with Your Holy Spirit, who produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Let them stand firm in the armor of God, knowing that You have already won the victory through Jesus Christ.

We also ask, Lord, that You would convict Your child of any unforgiveness, resentment, or bitterness they may be harboring. Help them to release these burdens to You, for You have commanded us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13). Let them walk in the freedom that comes from obedience to Your Word.

Finally, Lord, we pray for a harvest of souls. Use this situation for Your glory, that those who are lost may come to know You and that Your name may be exalted. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying for those who oppose you, not just for their actions to change, but for their hearts to be transformed by the Gospel. Remember, our struggle is not against people, but against the spiritual forces of evil. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust in His power to work all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Walk in love, forgiveness, and the confidence that comes from knowing that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

We're here with you, standing in the gap for those who may be causing you distress. Let's shift our focus to Jesus, our refuge and strength. In Him, we find our peace and protection. Let's pray:

Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that they may see their need for a Savior.
