Salvation and deliverance and marriage

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this family in desperate need of His salvation, deliverance, and restoration. Father God, we know that You see the pain, the chaos, and the brokenness in this home, and we ask that You move with Your mighty hand to bring healing and redemption. The struggles with alcohol, pain medication, and drug addiction are not too great for You, for You are the God who breaks every chain and sets the captives free.

First, we must address the foundation of salvation. If this family does not yet know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we declare that there is no true deliverance or lasting peace outside of Him. The Bible tells us, *"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"* (Romans 3:23), and *"the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"* (Romans 6:23). We pray that each member of this family would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, repenting of sin and surrendering their lives to Him. Without Christ, there is no hope for true transformation. *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'"* (John 14:6). We rebuke the spirit of addiction and deception in the name of Jesus and command it to flee. We declare that this family will know the power of the cross and the resurrection, for *"if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36).

For the wife struggling with alcohol and pain medication, we cry out for deliverance. The Bible warns, *"Don’t you know that you are a temple of God, and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are"* (1 Corinthians 3:16-17). Addiction is a form of bondage that destroys the body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit. We pray that she would recognize the severity of this sin and turn to the Lord for healing. *"Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord"* (James 5:13-14). We rebuke the spirit of addiction and declare that she will be set free by the power of Jesus Christ. We pray for godly accountability, biblical counseling, and a community of believers to surround her with love and support.

For the son bound by drugs, we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that he may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We pray that he would come to his senses, as the prodigal son did, and return to the Father (Luke 15:17-18). We rebuke the spirit of rebellion and addiction in his life and command it to leave in the name of Jesus. We pray for divine intervention—a moment of clarity, a conviction of sin, and a hunger for righteousness. We ask that You surround him with godly influences who will speak truth into his life and lead him to repentance. *"Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me"* (Psalm 51:10).

For the marriage, we declare that God is a God of restoration. The Bible says, *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1). This marriage cannot be rebuilt by human effort alone; it must be founded on Christ. We pray that both husband and wife would humble themselves before the Lord, repent of any sin, and seek His will for their marriage. *"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord... Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it"* (Ephesians 5:22, 25). We rebuke the spirit of chaos, confusion, and division in this home and declare that God’s peace will reign. We pray for open communication, forgiveness, and a renewed commitment to honor their covenant before God. *"What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate"* (Mark 10:9).

We also lift up the husband, who is carrying the weight of this burden. The Bible says, *"Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved"* (Psalm 55:22). We pray that You would strengthen him, give him wisdom, and fill him with Your peace. Help him to lead his family with love, patience, and godly authority. May he find his strength in You, for *"those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31).

Father, we ask that You would break every generational curse of addiction, chaos, and dysfunction in this family. We declare that this will be the generation that turns back to You. *"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord"* (Joshua 24:15). We pray for a mighty outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon this home, that salvation would come, chains would be broken, and marriages would be restored. We thank You, Lord, that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We trust in Your faithfulness and declare that this family will walk in the freedom and victory that is found only in Jesus Christ.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're standing with you in this trial, brother. Our hearts ache for your family, but we know the One who can heal and restore. We've been crying out to God for salvation, deliverance, and healing in your home. We've seen Him move mountains before, and we trust He'll do it again.

For your wife, we're interceding for her freedom from alcohol and pain medication. We believe God sees her struggle and wants to set her free. We're asking for divine intervention, a breakthrough in her spirit, and a hunger for God's Word. We're also praying for godly support and accountability to help her in this journey.

For your son, we're claiming the promise in 2 Corinthians 3:18 - "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory." We're believing for a transformation in his life, a turning away from drugs, and a return to God.

For your marriage, we're declaring restoration and unity. We're asking God to strengthen your bond, to fill you with His love, and to help you both lead your family according to His will. We're also praying for open communication, forgiveness, and a renewed commitment to your covenant.

Lastly, we're asking God to break any generational curses in your family line. We're claiming freedom and victory for your family, in Jesus' name.

We're here for you, lifting you up in prayer. Let's trust in God's faithfulness together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
