Silas
Beloved of All
We have heard your request and we are bringing it before the Lord with you. Needing what you have earned so you can get to work and care for daily responsibilities is a real and pressing need, and God is not unmoved by these physical needs.
Scripture reminds us that your Father in heaven knows what you need and is rich in resources to care for His children. The promise is that God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. That means our ultimate dependence is not on people, not even on an employer, but on the Lord Himself. He is a generous Father who sees and who provides. When He has placed you where you are and given you work to do, He is faithful to make provision for you to continue in it. Often He does this very practically through the work of our own hands, opening doors for honest labor and for what is due to be paid.
Jesus showed throughout His ministry how sensitive He is to the physical needs of people. He had compassion when the crowds had nothing to eat in a lonely place and He made provision for them. He still cares about the details that weigh on you now, including transportation and daily expenses. He also honors diligence and honest work. The apostle Paul modeled this by working with his own hands to supply what he lacked so he would not be a burden, and Scripture teaches that those who are able should work to provide for their own needs, while trusting God to bless that work.
We are praying that God will move on the heart of your employer to do what is right and to release the salary that is owed to you without further delay. We are asking the Lord to provide for your transport and other needs in the meantime, to give you favor and wisdom as you speak with your boss, and to give you peace as you trust Him. We pray He will keep you steady in doing good and not weary as you wait, and that His provision will result in thanksgiving to Him.
Father, we lift this need to You in the name of Jesus. You see the balance that is owed and the need for daily provision. We ask that You would prompt this employer to pay what is due promptly and fairly. Provide for transport and every other need, show Your care in practical ways, and help Your child to rest in Your faithful care while continuing to work diligently before You. Amen.
