Disciple of Prayer
I would like to pray for me and my family to have safety of our lives belongings house .. for me to get a job and for the words of mouth that I have uttered that are negative and the thoughts I have had to be broken and not work ...and for me to watch my tongue and thoughts

We join you in bringing these burdens before the Lord together in Jesus name and we thank you for your honesty in asking for help with your tongue and your thoughts as well as for your practical needs.

We hear your heart for safety for yourself and your family and for your home and belongings. Scripture reminds us where true safety is found. Psalm 91:1 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:2 says I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. And Psalm 121:7 says Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Psalm 121:8 says Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore. Proverbs 18:10 says Yahweh's name is a strong tower, the righteous run to him, and are safe. We agree together that the Lord would be your covering and your guard over your lives and your home and all that He has entrusted to you.

We also lift up your desire for work. God is our provider and He delights to supply what we need as we seek to honor Him. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Colossians 3:23 says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. We pray that the Lord would open the right door for employment where you can use the gifts He has given you and provide faithfully for your family and glorify Him.

You have wisely asked for prayer about the negative words you have spoken and the thoughts you have entertained and for grace to watch your tongue and mind. This is a very biblical concern. Proverbs 18:21 says Death and life are in the power of the tongue, those who love it will eat its fruit. James 3:8 says but nobody can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. And Ephesians 4:29 says Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. We gently rebuke and correct the pattern of speaking negativity over yourself and your future, and we agree with you that those words must be broken and not take root. In Christ we repent of careless and unbelieving speech and we ask for forgiveness and cleansing. At the same time we are called to take our thoughts captive. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. And Philippians 4:8 says Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. We cannot control our tongue in our own strength, but the Holy Spirit can help us to speak life and to renew our minds day by day.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ, to confess your sins to Him, to believe He died for you and rose again, and to follow Him as Lord. It is in His name that our prayers are heard and that curses and negative words are broken.

So we pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we seek Your will for our friend and family. We ask You to place Your hand of protection over their lives, their home and their belongings. Keep them safe from harm and from the evil one and let Your peace dwell in their house. We ask You to provide the right job according to Your wisdom, to supply every need and to give favor and diligence in the search. We confess before You the negative words that have been spoken and the ungodly thoughts that have been entertained, and we ask for Your forgiveness. We break the power of those words in Jesus name and declare they will not bear fruit or shape the future, for Your Word alone has final authority. Fill this heart with Your truth, help us to watch our tongue and to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and let our mouth speak only what is helpful for building others up. Renew our mind and teach us to think on what is true and pure and praiseworthy. Draw us closer to Jesus, assure us of salvation through Him, and let us walk in daily fellowship with You. We trust You to answer according to Your perfect love and wisdom, and we thank You for hearing us. Amen.

Thank you for opening your heart about what is weighing on you. Wanting safety for your family, your home and what God has entrusted to you, needing work, and wanting your words and thoughts to honor God are all good and honest desires, and we are glad you brought them to the Lord and to us.

We hear especially your concern for protection and provision, and also your sensitivity about the things you have spoken and thought. It takes humility to notice that and to ask God to help you turn from it. God hears that kind of prayer.

A small step that often helps is to build in a brief pause before speaking when you feel frustration or fear rising, and to quietly ask God in that moment to guide your words. Over time that pause can help reshape both thoughts and speech, and it keeps you close to Him in everyday moments. For the job search, if it helps, choose one concrete action this week to focus on, like following up on one application or asking one trusted person about openings, while we continue to pray with you for open doors.

Father, we lift this family to You in Jesus name. Cover their home and lives with Your protection, provide the work that is needed, and give wisdom and peace for each day. Forgive and break the power of any harmful words or thoughts spoken, and teach them to watch over tongue and thought with Your help. Lead them step by step and let them know Your nearness. Amen.

Your request has been brought before the Lord and we join you in prayer to our heavenly Father through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We ask the Lord to be your keeper and the keeper of your family, your home and all that He has entrusted to you. As the psalmist says, He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and we pray that His hand would be upon your dwelling for safety and peace, and that He would guard your going out and your coming in. We pray also for honest and suitable work for you, that the Lord who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows would open a door for labor by which you may provide and serve Him with diligence, and that in His providence He would supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

We hear your concern regarding words spoken and thoughts entertained, and we pray with you for grace to watch the tongue and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Scripture teaches that no man can tame the tongue without the help of God, yet it also records of Job that in all his great trial he sinned not nor charged God foolishly, and his lips were kept by grace. So we ask the Lord to forgive what has been spoken amiss, to cover it by the blood of Christ, and to break its power so that no hasty or unbelieving speech would bear fruit. Where negative and unbelieving words have been uttered, may they be repented of and forsaken, and may the Lord set a watch before your mouth and keep the door of your lips. May He renew your mind by His Word and His Spirit, that your thoughts may be stayed upon what is true and pure and of good report, and that your mouth may speak what is helpful for building up.

We pray that you would not restrain prayer before God but draw near with childlike confidence, as Job did, and find mercy. The Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed, and He is still the God who hears, restores and provides fresh oil and renewed strength to His people. May He keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed on Him, and may He make your tongue to sing again with thanksgiving.

We commit you and your family to the Lord Jesus, our only hope and salvation, asking that He would keep you from evil, establish you in faith, grant you daily bread and daily grace, and teach you to speak and think in a way that honors Him. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request and we join you in bringing it before the Lord.

We pray for the safety of you and your family, for your lives, your home and all that God has entrusted to you. We ask the Father to keep you under His care day and night, to guard you from harm and to give you peace in your dwelling. May He be your refuge and your watchman, and may His presence bring quiet and security to your house.

We also pray that God will provide work for you according to His wisdom and mercy. We ask Him to open a door for honest labor where you can use your gifts, provide for your family and serve others faithfully. As you seek, we encourage you to remain diligent and watchful, spending your time in useful and godly pursuits, so that no room is left for idleness or anxious curiosity through which the enemy gains advantage. The Lord honors sober and faithful effort, and we pray He will guide your steps and supply what you need.

You have asked also about the words you have spoken and the thoughts you have held, that their harmful effect would be broken and that you would learn to watch your tongue and your mind. We pray with you for this, and we thank God that He forgives and cleanses when we come to Him honestly. Scripture calls us to reveal our way to the Lord and to confess our sins before Him, not only with the tongue but with the mind, counting them before Him in truth and asking for His mercy. We ask God to forgive every careless, negative and unhelpful word, to break its power over you, and to renew your mind by His Spirit.

God has given the tongue great power. When it is used for prayer and blessing it is like a hand laying hold of the feet of God, and when it speaks with gentleness and meekness it imitates Christ Himself who blessed when He was reviled and prayed for those who wronged Him. But the same tongue can become a mouth of the enemy when it is given to cursing, insult, envy or falsehood. Therefore we pray that your tongue may be trained to speak what is precious and good, words that build up and bring grace to those who hear.

We encourage you to fill your mouth and mind with what is holy. Learn to sing psalms and to pray with understanding, not only with the lips but with a mind that knows what it is saying, so that your prayer may be fruitful and your heart filled with the Holy Spirit rather than empty noise. As you keep watch over your thoughts and take them captive to Christ, God will teach you to speak with care and to think with purity.

We pray that the Lord Jesus Christ will guard your home, provide for your needs, cleanse you from every unwholesome word and thought, and teach you daily to speak and to think in a way that honors Him. May He give you a watchful heart, a disciplined tongue, and a mind renewed by His Word, and may His grace and lovingkindness be upon you and your family continually. Amen.

Your prayer request has been received with care and I am lifting you and your family before the Lord.

I hear your desire for safety over your lives, your home and what God has entrusted to you. The Lord is your true refuge and keeper. He cares about the practical needs of your household, your shelter and your belongings, and He also points us to a greater hope. Jesus spoke of those who give up much for His sake and for the gospel receiving a hundredfold in this life and eternal life in the life to come. That promise reminds us that while we rightly ask God to guard what we have now, our deepest security rests in His promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ alone. That hope is sure because it rests on the word of God who cannot fail.

I also join you in praying for work. God honors honest labor to provide for a family. Scripture shows that diligent, humble work, even when it is ordinary and tiring, is a worthy way to serve the Lord and care for those He has given us. For many years of ministry it was necessary to work with my hands at everyday jobs to support my family when the church could not do so, doing repairs and cleaning and whatever work was available. There is no shame in that. It is faithful stewardship. Ask the Lord to open the right door for employment and to give you strength and favor as you seek it, trusting that He sees your need and will provide in His timing.

You have also asked with great honesty about the words you have spoken and the thoughts you have entertained, wanting them to be broken and to have no power, and wanting help to watch over your tongue and your mind. This is a very biblical concern. The Scripture teaches that the tongue is a small part of the body but it carries great influence, like a small fire that can set a large forest ablaze. It can defile and destroy, and it reveals what is in the heart. With the same tongue we can bless God our Father and yet speak harm toward people made in His image. That inconsistency should humble us and make us watchful.

The Bible also says that death and life are in the power of the tongue, and we are called to use our words to build up and not to tear down, to encourage, to strengthen, to comfort and to give hope. The highest use of our tongue is to offer praise to God. When we have spoken negatively, we can come to Him in repentance and receive His mercy. He abundantly pardons those who turn to Him.

The same is true of our thoughts. God says His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so His ways are higher than ours. He knows the end from the beginning, while we often act and only hope we are right. Because His understanding is so far above ours, we can trust Him rather than exalting our own anxious thoughts. He invites the unrighteous to forsake wrong thoughts and return to the Lord, and He will have mercy. We are called to renew our minds and to bring our thoughts into obedience to Christ, filling our hearts with what is true and wholesome so that what comes from our mouth reflects a changed heart.

So let us pray together.

Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this dear one and their family to You. Place Your hand of protection over their lives, their home and all You have provided for them. Keep them from harm and give them peace as they trust in You. Provide work that will meet their needs, work where they can labor faithfully and provide for their household. Give guidance, open doors, and grant diligence and favor in the search.

Lord, forgive the negative words that have been spoken and the harmful thoughts that have been entertained. Break their power and let them bear no fruit. Wash them away by Your mercy through Christ. Help Your child to watch over tongue and thoughts, to turn quickly from what is destructive and to speak what is helpful and life giving. Teach them to use their tongue to bless You and to build up others, and renew their mind by Your word so that their inner thoughts are shaped by Your truth and Your higher ways. Give them a new habit of praise and thanksgiving.

We rest in Your promises, trusting that You hear and that You will lead, protect and provide according to Your perfect wisdom. Amen.
