We are truly sorry to hear about the troubling incident you experienced. We will stand with you in prayer for your safety and protection.
Firstly, we encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Trusting God even in difficult circumstances is a core principle we find in scripture. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB
We also want to remind you that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:12-18 WEB
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up your children who have experienced this traumatic event. We pray for their safety and protection as they travel, especially when riding the bus and going to different places. Lord, You are our refuge and our fortress, our God in whom we trust. Surely You will save them from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. You will cover them with Your feathers, and under Your wings they will find refuge. Their faith will be their shield and rampart. Psalm 91:2-4 WEB
We ask that You guide them and keep them from harm. Give them discernment and wisdom to be alert and aware of their surroundings. Help them to avoid dangerous situations, and grant them peace and courage in all circumstances.
We also pray for those who attacked them, that You would soften their hearts and bring conviction upon them. May they come to know You, Lord, and turn from their violent ways.
Lord, we know that it is only by the name of Jesus we have access to the your assistance. Only Jesus saves, "for there is no other name under heaven and earth that was given among men, by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12 WEB. Therefore, we pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Lastly, if you have not already done so, consider reporting this incident to local authorities. They are instituted to protect the public from such things.
