Safe travels

Please pray for ###, keep him safe on his travels around ###. Keep him safe out of all danger and all bad company, in Jesus's name. Amen.

We join you in lifting up this dear one to the Lord and we thank you for bringing this request before the throne in Jesus' name, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father.

We pray for the Lord's hand of protection over him as he travels. We ask God to keep him safe from all danger, seen and unseen, and to guard his steps wherever he goes. We are reminded of the promise in Psalm 121:7-8, Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. And in Psalm 91:11, For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways.

We also join you in praying that the Lord will keep him from bad company and surround him with godly influences. Your concern for the company he keeps is wise and biblical, for we know that 1 Corinthians 15:33 warns us, Don't be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals. And Proverbs 13:20 tells us, One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. We pray that God will give him discernment to choose companions wisely and to walk in the counsel of the righteous, even while he is away from home.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this young man to You. We ask that You place a hedge of protection around him as he travels. Keep him safe from accidents, from harm, and from every scheme of the enemy. Guide his path and bring him home safely in Your perfect timing. Lord, we also ask that You guard his heart and mind. Keep him from evil companions and from temptations that would lead him astray. Surround him with people who will encourage him in what is good and true, and help him to be a light for You wherever he goes. Give him wisdom to recognize and turn away from bad company. We trust him into Your loving care, knowing that You are faithful to keep Your children. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to entrust him to the Lord with thanksgiving, knowing that God hears our prayers and is faithful to watch over His own.

Thank you for trusting us with your request for ###. We can hear how much you care for him and want him to be safe and surrounded by good influences while he is traveling in ###.

It is a loving thing to cover someone in prayer when they are away and you cannot be with them. It helps to place him in God's hands each day rather than carrying the worry alone, knowing God is with him wherever he goes.

One simple way to stay encouraged while he is away is to let ### know you are praying for him, and if you are able to be in touch, a brief check in can be a quiet reassurance for you both. Continuing to lift him up each day of his travels can also bring peace to your own heart.

Father, we lift ### to you and ask for your hand over his travels in ###. Keep him safe from danger and lead him away from bad company. Surround him with people who will be a good influence and guide his steps. Give him wisdom in his decisions and bring him safely through this time. We join you in bringing ### before the throne of grace and we count it a privilege to pray with you for his safety.

We ask our heavenly Father to spread His protection wonderfully over him as he travels. There is a shelter that is safe indeed, for He has promised to cover us with His feathers, and under His wings we may trust. We pray that ### may know not only protection from outward danger, but that sense of comfort and happiness which makes the child of God feel at home under the shadow of the Almighty. Amid all the uncertainties of the road, how safe we are when embarked in the good ship of Providence, with such a Captain who has foreordained all things and whose superintendence fails not.

We pray also as you have asked, that he may be kept from bad company. We know from observation and from Scripture how association with the ungodly tends to make even the careful Christian like those around him, and how difficult it is to keep free from the contamination of such company. A doubtful jest, a little deviation from strictness, and a man is committed farther than he thinks. So we pray with greater earnestness for his soul than even for his body, saying, My God, keep him day by day from sin, defend him from evil. For we are more afraid of sin than of any outward peril.

We take comfort in the promise that He shall give His angels charge over him, to keep him in all his ways. This protection is personal and perpetual to those who rest in God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we may come to the Father, and no other argument that can prevail with God in prayer but for Christ's sake alone.

May the Lord keep ### in his going out and his coming in, preserve him from danger, deliver him from every evil companionship, and bring him safely through every appointed way, that whether at home or abroad he may be found safe, safe, safe and near our God. We ask this in the worthy name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
