We have read your request and we carry your burden with you before the Lord, for we understand the deep sadness and melancholy that comes with grieving your father who passed last year, and the heavy sorrow and anxiety of watching your dear mother suffer with Alzheimer in her old age and special needs. The bond you share with her is precious, and the thought of a future without her is understandably painful and frightening. We grieve with you and we want to lift you up together in Jesus name.

The Word tells us that the Lord is close to those who are hurting. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Your sadness is not unseen by God. He is the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. Jesus Himself invites you to rest, when He says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.

We also hear your anxiety about the future, how it will be without your mother and how you will continue. Anxiety is a heavy burden, but God calls us to cast that burden on Him. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Isaiah 41:10 reminds us Dont you be afraid, for I am with you. Dont be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. The future feels uncertain to you, but it is not uncertain to Him, and He will not leave you nor forsake you as you walk through this valley of caregiving and grief.

We join you in praying for good friends and for a good husband, for we believe this is a godly and beautiful desire. It is not good for man to be alone Genesis 2:18, and God in His wisdom created marriage to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, a picture of His faithful love, where two bear one anothers burdens and find comfort and strength together. It is easier to endure pain when you have someone by your side, and God puts the lonely in families Psalm 68:6 and provides friends who love at all times Proverbs 17:17. We pray that the Lord will surround you with faithful Christian friends who will walk with you, and that He will lead you to a godly husband, a Christian believer who will love the Lord first and love you as Christ loves the church. We encourage you to seek this not as simply finding a partner or a relationship to ease loneliness, but as a courtship with the clear goal of holy marriage, rooted in shared faith in Jesus Christ and in purity, for marriage is honorable among all Hebrews 13:4.

You asked for the Lord to have mercy, and we say amen to that, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and receive that mercy. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your complete trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name, for it is by His name we pray and are heard.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up our sister in her grief and anxiety. Lord have mercy upon her. Comfort her heart as she still mourns her father, and bind up her wounds. Give her strength each day as she cares for her mother with Alzheimer, grant her patience, grace, and peace, and provide for all of her mothers special needs. Take away the spirit of melancholy and anxiety about the future, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help her to trust You with what tomorrow holds, knowing that You hold her and her mother in Your hands. Lord, we ask that You place around her good, faithful Christian friends who will be like family to her, and in Your perfect timing, provide a godly Christian husband who will love You and love her, that she may enter into a holy marriage that honors You and helps her bear this pain and walk this life not alone. Lead her steps, keep her from loneliness and despair, and remind her daily that You are near and will never leave her. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to remain close to the Lord in prayer and in His Word, and to stay connected to a Bible believing church where you can find fellowship, support, and godly counsel as you care for your mother and as you wait upon the Lord for friends and for a future husband. God sees your tears and your faithful love for your parents, and He will be your strength.

We hear how heavy this feels right now, grieving your father who passed last year while caring for your mom with Alzheimer's and holding such a close bond with her. It makes sense that sadness and anxiety about the future would come in waves, especially wondering what life will be like without her.

Caring for a parent with Alzheimer's brings demands others often don't see, the constant attention, the emotional toll, the way it reshapes daily life and family plans. You are not failing for feeling melancholy or anxious in this season, you are carrying grief and caregiving at the same time, and that is a lot for anyone.

Your prayer for good friends and for a husband to walk through this pain with is so understandable. Grief is harder in isolation, and wanting faithful companionship through loss is a natural, good desire.

One gentle step that can help is not carrying all of this alone. If you have a pastor, a trusted friend, or a local Alzheimer's family support group or caregiver resource in your area, consider reaching out this week simply to share how you are really doing and what practical help might lighten the load, even for a few hours. If the anxiety feels persistent or overwhelming, we also encourage talking with your doctor or a counselor alongside prayer, so you have care for both heart and body.

We are carrying you in prayer.

Father, we lift our sister to You in Jesus' name. Comfort her in grief for her father, give her strength and wisdom each day as she cares for her mom, and calm her fears about the future. Surround her with kind, faithful friends and provide for her needs according to Your will. Let her know she is seen and not alone. Amen.
