Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join with you before our Father God in Jesus name and we bring all of these heavy burdens to Him together, for we know He hears us when we come through Jesus Christ our Lord. We are so sorry to hear how brokenhearted and depressed you have been feeling over the words spoken about your room and about you personally, and we want to lift every part of your request to the Lord.

We hear how much it hurts when your mom and dad and sister speak negatively about your room, and when your mom says you are destroying the house and when she says hurtful things that you look old or are not normal or embarrassing. We understand that your room is important to you and that it feels like your own space and belongings are not being respected, especially when your sister who does not live there comes into what is now your room without permission. The Lord sees your hurt and He is near to you in this pain, for Psalm 34:18 says The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, and Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We also remember Ephesians 4:29 which says Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear, and Proverbs 15:1 reminds us that A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

We pray that God will bring peace into your home and soften hearts on all sides. While we understand your desire that they would never bring up your room again, we pray instead that God would bring understanding, kind communication, and mutual respect. We pray that your parents and sister would speak with gentleness and encouragement rather than negativity, and that you would also be given grace to respond with honor and patience. Scripture calls us to honor our father and mother, for Ephesians 6:2 says Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, and Colossians 3:21 says Fathers, do not provoke your children, so that they won’t be discouraged. We encourage you to talk calmly with your parents about how their words make you feel, and to show stewardship over your room and the shared living areas as unto the Lord, so that there is less cause for conflict. We also pray for healthy boundaries regarding your room and belongings, that your sister would respect your privacy and not enter or look through your things without your permission, and that your parents would support that boundary with love.

We also lift up the deep discouragement and depression you are feeling. You are not alone and you are deeply loved by God. We pray the Lord will lift this heaviness and fill you with His peace and hope. We cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 says, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you, and Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. If this sadness continues to feel overwhelming, we encourage you to reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or medical provider as well as to keep seeking the Lord daily in prayer and His Word, for Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We bring your physical needs before the Lord as well. We pray for your health and for your body which is a temple of the Holy Spirit as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 teaches. We pray for your desire for weight loss that God would guide you to healthy and sustainable ways to care for your body and give you strength and self control. We pray for your allergies to cockroach particles, maple trees and dust mites, for the sore throat and runny nose, that the Lord would ease your symptoms and guide your doctors and help your medicine to work effectively and in good time. We pray for your menstrual cycle difficulties and for the itchiness and pain and rash on your hands in winter, and for your sore gums with your dentures. We ask for healing and comfort, for Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord, and we trust that God cares about every detail of your suffering. Please continue to work with your doctors for these ongoing health concerns and let them know about the menstrual pain, the rashes, and the gum soreness so you can get proper care.

We also pray for your friendship with your friend that there would be more understanding and less harshness. We pray that God would soften both your hearts toward one another and help you to speak the truth in love and to forgive as we have been forgiven, for Ephesians 4:32 says And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. We pray that this friendship would be a source of encouragement rather than hurt.

We pray too for the practical need of your white dress for the party at your program, that God would help you find a way to remove the stains and repair the holes, and that you would be able to attend with joy and peace.

Father God we come to You in Jesus name and we thank You that we can come boldly through Jesus who said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We thank You that You hear us because of Jesus. We lift our dear one to You now. Lord please heal her broken heart and lift this depression and surround her with Your love and presence. Please bring peace to her home and help her mom and dad and sister to speak with kindness and respect and help her to honor her parents and to communicate with gentleness. Lord set healthy boundaries over her room and belongings and bring mutual understanding. Lord touch her body and bring relief from allergies, sore throat, runny nose, menstrual pain and itchiness, rash on her hands, and sore gums, and guide her medical care and make her medicine effective. Lord grant her wisdom and strength for weight loss and help her to care for her body in a way that honors You. Lord bring healing and understanding to her friendship and help her mom to stop speaking hurtful words over her. Lord provide for her dress and let the stains be removed and the holes be mended for her program party. Cover her with Your peace that passes all understanding and remind her daily that she is fearfully and wonderfully made and deeply loved by You. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear how heavy this has felt for you, especially the hurt around your room and the comments from your mom, dad and sister. When home is where you should feel most at ease, repeated negative words about your space and being told you look old or are embarrassing can wear you down quickly. It makes sense you would feel depressed and on edge about your sister going into your room when you are not there.

With so much on your heart at once, allergies that leave you with a sore throat and runny nose, ongoing pain and itching, a rash on your hands, sore gums with dentures, and concerns about your weight and menstrual cycle, it is a lot to carry. We are praying for you and we also encourage you to keep seeing a medical professional for these health concerns alongside prayer, so they can help you find relief and make sure your medicine is working as it should.

For the tension at home, it might help to choose a calm moment to let your mom and dad know in simple words how the comments about your room affect you, and to ask for a clear agreement about privacy for your room. If you have a trusted pastor, counselor or other safe person, sharing how low you have been feeling with them can also bring support you do not have to carry this alone.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. Bring comfort where there is hurt and depression, ease to her body, and wisdom for her doctors. Give peace in her home, understanding with her friend and family, and help with the needs for her dress and party. Lead her to steady help and hope in You. Amen.

The Lord has heard the cry of your wounded spirit, and He is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, for it is written, He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. You have poured out many sorrows at once, and I would carry them with you to the mercy seat where Jesus Himself intercedes.

There is healing virtue even in the least thing that belongs to Christ. As the leaves fall from the trees, so does sacred influence descend from our Lord Jesus in Heaven down to the sons of men, and the very leaves of the tree of life are for healing. There is not a Word that ever fell from those dear lips but what bears healing in it for some one or other of the thousand ills that have befallen our humanity. His Grace is sufficient for you, and His strength is made perfect in weakness. Whatever you would avoid, His Grace can shield you from it if so His wisdom shall dictate.

I pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, through whom alone we have access to the Father and forgiveness of sins.

I pray that the Lord will lift the heavy cloud of depression that now presses upon you, and give you joy in His presence. When the heart is sore and words have cut deeply, remember that the Lord sees and knows your grief, and He can breathe into your soul a peace which passes all understanding. Cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.

Concerning your home and your room, I pray the Lord will give peace within those walls. Honour thy father and thy mother is still the command of God, and it carries a promise. I pray that He will soften hearts on all sides, that unkind and negative speech may cease, and that you may be helped to answer with gentleness and patience. If your sister no longer dwells there, pray that the Lord will establish kindly and clear boundaries, and help you to keep your room in such order as becomes a quiet testimony of diligence, so that no just cause for reproach remains, and yet that love may cover all. Forgive as you have been forgiven, and seek that forbearance which Christ shows to us.

For your body, I pray the Great Physician will lay His healing hand upon you. For your allergies to dust and other things, for the sore throat and running nose, for the pain and itchiness and trouble in your monthly course, for the rash upon your hands in winter, and for the soreness of your gums with your dentures, I ask that God would ease your suffering, make your medicine effectual if it be His will, and give wisdom to those who care for you. He healed all that had need of healing while He sojourned here, and the costly balm of His Atonement has lost none of its power. Whether He removes the affliction or sustains you through it, His Grace will be sufficient.

For your weight and health, I pray you may be strengthened to steward the body God has given you with temperance and patience, not from despair but from gratitude, trusting Him for daily strength.

For your friend, I pray the Lord will make her more understanding and gentle, and help you both to speak the truth in love, forbearing one another. May harsh words be put away and kindness abound.

For the hurtful words that have wounded you, that you look old or are not normal or are an embarrassment, I pray God will heal that wound. Man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and precious in His sight through Christ. Let your adorning be the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

For your white dress with its stains and holes for the gathering at your program, I pray the Lord in His kindness will provide help to cleanse and mend it, or provide what is needed, that you may go with a peaceful mind.

Hold fast the form of sound words and keep close to Christ. Everywhere bring Christ to the front. Take His Words like leaves from the tree and apply them to your wounds. He must begin with you before you can serve Him. First forgiveness, then healing, then service. Seek pardon through His blood, and you shall find that all penal consequences are gone, and what remains shall be chastisement lovingly appointed by a Father for your good.

May the Lord preserve you from all evil and preserve your soul, and keep you walking with Him even in the common engagements of life. May He lift you up as He took the fevered one by the hand and lifted her, that you may rise to serve Him in newness of strength.

I commend you to Him who is able to keep you from falling. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and I thank you for opening your heart with such honesty. I hear how much pain you carry from the words spoken about your room, how the repeated comments from your mother and father and sister have left you feeling hurt, brokenhearted and even depressed. When the place that should feel safe feels criticized, and when people you love speak negatively about what belongs to you, it is understandable that your heart feels heavy. I also hear the many other burdens you named, your health, your allergies and sore throat and runny nose, the struggles with your menstrual cycle and itching and pain, the winter rash on your hands, the soreness in your gums with your dentures, your desire for help with weight, the hurt from words that you look old or are not normal or are embarrassing, the strain with your friend, and the worry about your white dress for the party at your program.

God sees all of this and cares for both soul and body. Scripture teaches that He is near to the brokenhearted and that He invites us to cast all our cares on Him because He cares for us. At the same time He calls us to love one another with honor and gentleness in the home. For your family, I encourage you to seek peace in a way that honors your parents while also speaking the truth in love about how their words affect you. It can help to choose a calm moment to tell your mother and father quietly how their comments make you feel, and to ask for kindness and understanding. Keeping your room in good order, as you are able, can be an act of stewardship and love that removes an occasion for conflict, even as you ask for grace when others speak harshly. Concerning your sister and your room, it is right to desire that your belongings and your personal space be respected. You can set a clear and loving boundary by asking your parents to help ensure that no one enters your room when you are not there, and by asking your sister directly and kindly to respect that boundary.

For your health, God has given us bodies to care for and He often heals through both prayer and through the wisdom He gives to physicians. Continue to follow your doctor's guidance for your allergies to dust mites and other triggers, for your sore throat and runny nose, and for the other physical pains you described. If your medicine seems slow to work, or if the menstrual pain and itching, the rash, or the gum soreness continues, please let a doctor or dentist know promptly so they can help you. For weight and overall health, ask the Lord for strength to care for your body with patience and consistency, not out of shame but as a way to honor Him.

For the hurtful words you have received, remember that your worth is not measured by comments about appearance or by whether others call you normal or embarrassing. In Christ you are deeply loved, made in God's image, and called His child through faith in Jesus alone. When a friend speaks harshly or seems not to understand, pray for a gentle conversation where you can share how you feel and ask for kindness, and be willing also to forgive as Christ has forgiven us.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come to You for our sister who is weary and hurting. You know her sadness and depression, and we ask You to lift her heart, to give her Your peace and comfort, and to surround her with people who will listen, encourage and help her. Bring healing and reconciliation in her home, soften words, teach all in the family to speak with love and respect, and help them to honor one another's space and belongings. Give wisdom for healthy boundaries that are kept in love.

Lord, we ask for Your mercy on her body. Ease her allergies, her sore throat and runny nose, help her medicine to work as it should and guide her doctors to give good care. Bring relief from the menstrual pain and itching, heal the rash on her hands, and soothe the soreness in her gums. Give her strength and wisdom to care for her health day by day. Comfort her when she feels hurt by unkind words, remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made and loved by You, and help her friendship to grow in understanding and gentleness. Provide also for the practical need of her white dress, that stains may be removed and holes mended for her program party, or that another provision will be made according to Your kindness.

Above all, draw her closer to Jesus, in whom alone we have salvation and hope, and help her to know His presence each day. Give her hope, steady her heart, and lead her to trusted help in her church and community if her depression feels heavy. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, our great physician and shepherd. Amen.
