We hear your sadness and your worry as you wait for these breathing test results, and we join with you in bringing this before our Father in prayer together.
We know how anxious the waiting can feel, but we are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also cling to the promise in Psalm 34:18, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. He sees your sadness and He cares deeply for you.
We thank God that He is the very giver of our breath. Job 33:4 says, The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. Every breath we take is a gift from Him, and we trust Him with your health and with these results.
We pray together for you now.
Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, lifting up this dear one who is feeling sad and anxious while waiting for breathing test results. We ask that You would calm their heart and fill them with Your peace that passes all understanding. We pray that You would guide the doctor with wisdom and that the results of this test would be good and show healthy lungs and clear breathing, according to Your will. We ask for Your healing hand to be upon them, for You are the One who heals us, as Psalm 103:3 says, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Let Your will be done and let Your comfort be felt in a powerful way as they wait. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We want to gently encourage you as well, because you addressed your prayer to Father God, which is good, but we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by trusting in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we can come boldly before God and know we are heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
While you wait for the doctor to share the results, we encourage you to rest in Him, cast your cares on Him, and trust that whatever the outcome, He is with you and will sustain you. We will continue to pray that your breathing is strong and that the report you receive will be a good one, and that you will feel His nearness and hope in this time.
