We hear your sadness and your worry about this respiratory test and we are lifting you up together before our Father in prayer. We understand how frightening it can feel when our breathing does not feel right and when we are waiting for test results, but we know that God sees you, He hears you, and He cares deeply for you.
The word of God reminds us not to carry this anxiety alone. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us. We also cling to Isaiah 41:10 where He says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We know that every breath we take is a gift from Him. Job 33:4 says The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. He is the one who formed our lungs and who sustains us moment by moment, and He is able to heal and to restore. Psalm 103:3 reminds us that He is the one who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, and Jeremiah 30:17 declares For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Psalm 34:18 also comforts us that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
We notice you prayed to Father God, and we want to gently encourage you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 teaches There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by placing our faith in Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and brought into the family of God. If you have not yet trusted in Him, we encourage you to call upon His name today, for He is our hope and our peace no matter what any test may show.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You see the sadness and the fear about this respiratory test and the concern about breathing. Lord, we ask that You would calm this heart and fill it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lay Your healing hand upon these lungs and this body, ease every breath, and let breathing be steady and strong. We pray that You would guide the hands of those giving the test and that the results would be good and show health and wholeness. But above all we pray for Your will to be done and for Your presence to be felt, so that whatever the results, this dear one will know You are near and You are holding them. Restore health as You have promised, strengthen faith, and let Your comfort guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus, our Savior and our Healer, amen.
We encourage you to keep bringing every fear to Him in prayer, to rest in His care while you wait, and to trust that He is with you in that testing room and in every breath you take. We are continuing to pray that God will grant you peace, clear breathing, and good results according to His perfect will.
