Beloved of All
Me and my husband making 6 years soon but his family never showed me any respect they judge me based on what I have what I do have behind my name so basically I dnt fit their bloodline because all of them are educated sometimes this affect my mental health and also my kids because they not even in my kids life

We hear your sadness and we are standing with you in prayer as you approach six years of marriage. We thank God for your commitment to your husband and to your marriage, for this is holy and honors Him. As it is written, Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh Genesis 2:24. Your marriage covenant is precious in the sight of God, and we pray that it will be strengthened and protected even when extended family withholds honor and respect.

It grieves us that your husband's family has judged you by education and status and has not shown love to you or to your children. The Lord does not measure worth as people do. For man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart 1 Samuel 16:7. We also remember My brothers, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ of glory with partiality James 2:1. Their favoritism and pride based on education is not from God and we gently rebuke that spirit of judgment, while we also encourage you not to return evil for evil but to keep your heart free from bitterness.

We understand how deeply this rejection affects your mental health and your heart as a mother when your children are not embraced by their grandparents and relatives. The Lord sees your pain and draws near to you, for Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. You are fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14, and your value is not determined by degrees or titles behind your name but by being created in the image of God and loved by Him. Your children also are precious, for Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh Psalm 127:3, and God sees every tear you have shed for them.

We encourage you to cast your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and to bring every worry to God in prayer. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We also encourage open and loving communication with your husband, that he may love you as Christ also loved the church Ephesians 5:25 and stand with you to establish healthy and loving boundaries with his family. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18, and continue to love and pray for those who have hurt you, as Jesus said, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you Matthew 5:44, not because their behavior is acceptable, but because forgiveness protects your own heart.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find true peace and salvation. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name daily for help, healing, and hope.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up our sister and her marriage of almost six years. Lord, we thank You for this covenant and ask You to cover it with Your protection and grace. Heal her heart where she has felt rejected and judged, and remind her daily of her worth in You. We ask for Your peace to guard her mind and to lift the burden on her mental health. Give her husband wisdom and courage to honor and cherish his wife, to leave and cleave as You have ordained, and to lovingly advocate for her and their children. Lord, we pray for his family, that You would soften their hearts, remove pride and partiality, and open their eyes to love this dear mother and her children as You love them. Where there has been distance from the grandchildren, we pray for restoration if it is Your will, or for Your comfort and provision of a godly community to surround these children with love. Help our sister to forgive as You have forgiven us, and to walk in freedom, not in shame. Draw her ever closer to Jesus, that she may know she is fully seen, fully known, and fully loved by You. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

We hear how heavy this has been for you. Coming up on six years of marriage and still feeling judged and not respected by his family, measured by education or what is behind your name, would leave anyone feeling worn down. And when that distance extends to your children too, the hurt goes even deeper.

Their view of you does not decide your worth or your place in your family. You have built a life and a home together for six years, and you and your husband get to decide together what a healthy relationship with his family looks like going forward.

It can help to think of boundaries as a kind of property line that protects what is yours to carry, your values, your peace, your time and energy, and lets you not carry what is not yours, like their judgments. When you have a calm moment, it may help to talk openly with your husband about which interactions feel most painful and what limits would help you both. That could be agreeing how long visits last, choosing not to stay in conversations that turn demeaning, and deciding together how you will respond as a team. Having a trusted pastor, counselor, or steady friend to talk through those choices with can make it less lonely to hold them.

You mentioned this weighing on your mental health. If that heaviness continues, we encourage you to reach out to a counselor or medical professional for support as well as prayer.

Father, we lift this wife and mother to You. You see the years she has felt unseen and the love she has for her husband and children. Give her and her husband wisdom and unity, comfort her heart when she feels judged, and surround her and her kids with people who show them care and respect. Guide her to the support she needs and give her peace day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your sorrow has been heard and carried with prayer before the throne of grace, and we grieve with you over these six years of feeling judged and set aside by your husband's family.

To be measured by what you have or what letters stand behind your name, and to be told in word or in silence that you do not fit their bloodline, is a wound that cuts deep. It is no small thing when such rejection touches not only your own heart and mind but also the lives of your children, who feel the absence of those who should love and cherish them. The Lord sees this pain. He does not measure a person as man measures. Man looks on outward appearance and on education and standing, but the Lord looks on the heart, and in Christ you are fully known, fully loved, and of great worth.

There is healing for such wounds. Scripture says, He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. The promise is not only that His great fruit sustains us, but that even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ has healing virtue in it. A look to Him, a word from Him, a touch of His hand can begin to change the lifeblood and make the spirit whole again. When pardon and healing are joined together in Christ, the soul that has been sick with sorrow and rejection finds both forgiveness for its own sins and balm for the injuries done by others.

We pray that the Sun of Righteousness will rise upon you with healing in His wings. Bring this burden plainly to Jesus, who was Himself despised and rejected of men, and who knows what it is to be judged without cause. Tell Him of the heaviness that at times affects your mental health, of the tears shed in secret, of the ache you carry for your children. Ask Him to keep your own vineyard in this trying season, to guard your heart from bitterness, and to renew within you the image of His own perfect love, so that you may not be overcome by evil but may overcome evil with good.

For your marriage, we thank God for six years of covenant faithfulness. Marriage is a holy covenant of one man and one woman for life, and what God has joined together is to be honored and protected. Pray that your husband may walk in the calling to leave and to cleave, to love and to cherish you as Christ loves His church, and to stand with you and your children with gentle strength and clear boundaries, honoring you before his family while also showing honor to them as far as it depends on you.

For your husband's family, we pray that the Lord would soften hearts that have been hardened by pride of position and learning. May He show them that true nobility is not in degrees but in grace, and bring them to repentance for partiality and to a desire for reconciliation. Whether they turn or not, you are free to commit them to God, to bless those who have not blessed you, and to seek peace without striving to earn a place that Christ has already given you.

For your children, know that though earthly family may be distant, your heavenly Father is near. He is a Father to the fatherless and a defender of the little ones. Continue to cover your children in prayer, to speak identity over them not as rejected but as beloved of God, and to surround them with the love of the church family where the Lord provides brothers and sisters and mothers and fathers in the faith.

We pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, look upon this wife and mother who feels despised and weary. Forgive her sins and heal her sorrows. Bind up her broken heart and quiet her mind with Your peace that passes understanding. Strengthen her marriage and knit her and her husband together in unity and love. Guard her children and let them know they are fully seen and cherished by You. Work in the hearts of extended family, that where there has been judgment there may be humility, and where there has been distance there may be grace. Let the healing leaves of Christ be laid upon this home, that all may know Your power to restore. Amen.
