Sad

When you’re waiting on blood work, it’s easy for your mind to race ahead into fear. The unknown results can feel like a shadow looming over you, stealing your peace. But you’re doing something important already, you’re crying out to God. Keep bringing that anxiety to Him, because He cares for you deeply.

Your body’s physical life depends on blood, and that’s why you’re having it tested. But remember that the same God who designed your bloodstream also gave it a sacred picture: the life of the flesh is in the blood. He made a way for us not only to be physically sustained but spiritually cleansed through the blood of Jesus Christ. When His side was pierced, blood and water flowed out, a sign that every impurity, every sin, and yes, even the fear that grips your heart, can be washed away. Your ultimate standing before God isn’t determined by a lab report; it’s secured by that perfect sacrifice. So while you wait, let that truth be your anchor.

Fear is one of the enemy’s favorite tools. He wants you to fix your eyes on the worst possibilities, to paralyze you with dread. But the cure for that fear is to remember the Lord. Greater is He who is in you than anything that might show up in your results. When you feel the panic rising, turn your attention off the threat and onto your faithful God. He hasn’t forgotten you, and He isn’t surprised by any number that might appear.

Scripture also teaches that the fear of the Lord, a reverent awe that hates evil and trusts His ways, brings health to your body and marrow to your bones. That doesn’t mean a life free of sickness, but it does mean a life rooted in His care, where anxiety loses its grip because you know you belong to Him. Honor Him with your trust. You can pray, “Father, I want this body to serve You. Whether these tests show something or nothing, I place myself in Your hands.” Sometimes He allows a season of testing to chip away strongholds in us, to deepen our dependence. He is always at work, preparing you for something greater.

While you wait, let your words be a balm to your own soul by speaking His promises back to Him. “You hold my life in Your hands. You are my healer and my peace. Whether the report is good or hard, You will be with me.” Do not let fear drive you to despair; let it drive you to the only One who can truly keep you. He is working in you, and that work is never wasted. Rest in that grace today.
