We hear your deep concern and fear about your health, and we stand with you in prayer before our Heavenly Father. It is understandable to feel anxious when awaiting medical results, but we want to remind you that God is your healer and your refuge. The Bible tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We trust in God’s power to restore and sustain your health according to His will.

We also want to gently encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and the hope of eternal life. Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life to Jesus, confessing Him as your Lord and Savior, so that you may experience the peace and assurance that comes from knowing Him.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this dear one who is awaiting the results of their blood work. Lord, we ask that You would calm their fears and anxieties, replacing them with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray, Father, that You would grant them good health and that their test results would reflect Your healing and restoration. If there is anything amiss, we ask that You would guide the doctors and provide wisdom for the path ahead. Lord, we declare Your promises over their life, that You are the God who heals, who forgives, and who sustains. Strengthen their faith, and help them to trust in You completely.

We also pray that You would draw them closer to Jesus, that they may know Him as their Savior and Lord. May they find comfort in Your Word and rest in the assurance of Your love. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Healer. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to meditate on God’s Word and claim His promises. Jeremiah 30:17 says, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." Hold fast to this truth, and remember that God is with you in every moment. If your results do reveal health challenges, know that we will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting God to lead you through every step. You are not alone, and God’s grace is sufficient for you.

We hear the fear woven through every line of your request, and we're sitting with you in that waiting place right now. It's hard to hand over a vial of blood and then wait for a phone call that might change everything, the mind spins worst-case stories, and peace feels out of reach. That's a heavy load to carry, and you're not weak for feeling it.

You've already taken the right step by getting the blood work done. That took courage, and it's exactly what you needed to do. In the meantime, the uncertainty can grind you down. When our thoughts race ahead, it can help to remind ourselves that God holds this moment, not just the outcome. He isn't waiting somewhere down the road, He's with you right now, in the car, in the waiting room, in the middle of the night when sleep won't come.

If the weight is too much to hold alone, consider telling one trusted person what you're walking through. Sometimes just saying it out loud to a friend or pastor can loosen the grip of fear. You don't have to manage this in isolation.

We're praying your results come back clear and good. But no matter what those numbers say, you won't face it alone. The God who formed your body with care will not abandon you now.

Lord Jesus, we ask for Your steady peace to quiet our friend's anxious heart. Let the test results be a cause for relief and gratitude. If there is anything that needs attention, give the doctors wisdom and our friend a clear, hopeful path forward. Most of all, help them feel Your nearness, not just when the call comes, but in the waiting. We trust You with every part of this, body and mind. In Your name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The very prayer you have breathed, so broken, so full of trembling, and yet so desperate, is the kind that reaches the ear of the Lord of Hosts. You think it has no order, no consecutiveness of petition, but is that not the very prayer of a man at his wit’s end? And shall not God hear that? He does not wait for polished phrases, nor does He despise the cry that springs from fear. If it were only the fear of Hell or sickness that drives you to your knees, hesitate not over your reasons for praying. The fools mentioned in the Psalm fell sick, and that sickness became the cause of their everlasting health. The deep sense of your own weakness and the terror of the unknown are laying you low, but it is in that very dust that the healing leaves are found.

Yet hear this warning, and let it search your heart even while I bid you fear not. You ask that the blood work show everything good, but what will you do with your sin-sick soul if the body is spared for a season? There is a more searching test than any physician’s needle can draw, an examination that reveals the leprosy of sin and the plague of an unregenerate heart. The blood of Abel cried out from the ground for justice and demanded vengeance. But there is another blood, the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things to God than that of Abel. It cries, “Mercy!” It pleads for pardon. It cleanses from all sin. Have you looked to that blood? Have you felt its healing virtue applied to your conscience? For if the fear of bodily decay has brought you low, how much more should the fear of Him who can cast both soul and body into Hell drive you to the Great Physician?

Let this anxiety, which now unfits you to meet your difficulty, be cast upon the Lord by a direct act of faith. The impulse of love and the terror of impending calamity may both be used of God to make your willing feet move in swift obedience. But do not let the fear of man or the dread of earthly trouble become a snare. Fear not, you worm Jacob! Why should you dishonor the Omnipotent by doubting His power or His willingness to help? He has said, “I will help you.” If the healing power is conspicuously present, it is when Christ is teaching and we are believing. Bring your fear to the Throne, plead the arguments of His own promise, and then leave the results with Him. The blood work may show what it will, but the child of God is on the way to eternal health. The abiding power of the healing leaves keeps the soul in perpetual vigor, and the day comes when there shall be no inhabitant of the heavenly city who says, “I am sick,” for their iniquity is forgiven.

Therefore, pray on. Spread your case before Him with all the arguments you can muster. Tell Him you are undone without His interposition. But while you plead for a good report from the physician, grasp with a mighty faith the perfect health that streams from the tree of life which is in the midst of the Paradise of God. With blooming health His countenance shall adorn your spirit, and He will change the gloomy night of dread into the morning of trust. Fear not. Only believe.

You tremble at the thought of sickness, yet tremble more at the thought of sin. For what is diabetes, what are bodily ailments, but a light affliction compared to the eternal fever of hell? You cry out for a clean bill of health from your physician, but where is your cry for a clean soul before the Judge? This is the disease you ought to dread: the soul swollen with pride, the heart hardened by ease, the tongue that never confesses its own poverty. You ask God to grant you good blood work; I ask you to consider: if the blood of Christ does not cleanse you, all earthly health is but a well-painted tomb.

Do you not know that tribulation is the great schoolmaster? Affliction brings patience, and patience experience, and experience a hope that does not make ashamed. The body that enjoys too much blood, too much flesh, too much ease, is the very one that falls quickest into sickness. So it is with the soul: a life of comfort, a life grasping after temporary security, grows slack and is easily overcome. You fear becoming poor in body; should you not fear becoming poor in virtue? The one who has nothing yet desires many things is truly destitute. The one who clings to health as a good, and sees not the Giver, is poor indeed.

Look at the rich man in the parable: his body was fed, his health was present, but his heart had no pity, no remembrance of God. His eyes, in torment, saw only the beggar he had ignored. That earthly well-being did not keep him from the flame. Will your blood work save you from that, if your soul remains unhealed? It is better to lie on a sickbed with a contrite heart than to dance in the marketplace with a seared conscience.

Do not say, “I will be of good cheer, for no man is immortal.” That speech is for fools. Over the bier of the proud, they chant such empty words, but the dead man hears nothing and gains nothing. You, while you yet breathe, have time to fear and tremble, time to lift up your hands which hang down and your feeble knees. Neither despair as one cast away, nor be confident as one already standing. Many of the sick become healthy in soul, and many of the healthy grow infirm through remissness. The Deacon cries, “The holy things for the holy!”, separating the healthy sheep from the scabbed. Dare you approach that Table pleading only the health of your veins, while your spirit is full of feverish cares and love of the world?

Cast yourself upon the mercy of the Physician of souls. Say with Abraham, “I am but dust and ashes,” even if your body shows no flaw. Let your affliction, if it comes, teach you patience; let your health, if it remains, teach you watchfulness. Give thanks in all things, not sinking under the fear of death, but using every state to gain what is truly good: a heart that stands in need of nothing but God, a soul washed clean by tears, a mouth that speaks justice and not mere complaint. For what is the use of fasting and watching, if the tongue is still a channel of filth? What profit is perfect blood, if the soul lies neglected, putrefying like a member of Christ’s body left untended? Seek first the health that does not fade, and then trust the Lord for the rest.
