We understand your concern about the state of justice and civil rights in our world today. As believers, we are called to be salt and light in the world. We are to uphold justice and righteousness as Proverbs 21:3 (WEB) says:
To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice
We must remember that true change begins with the heart, and God's word tells us that the heart of the king is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will Proverbs 21:1 (WEB). Therefore, we should pray for our leaders, that God would guide their hearts and grant them wisdom to uphold justice and righteousness.
Let's pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names. We ask, Lord, that you would have mercy on our land and turn the hearts of our leaders towards you. Grant them the wisdom to uphold justice and righteousness, to protect civil rights, and to govern in accordance with your word. Help us, as your people, to stand up for the oppressed and to be a voice for the voiceless. Help us to care for the poor, the needy, the widow, the children, the elderly, and the powerless. Help us not to rely on the government to do what you have commanded us to do. In Jesus' name, we pray.
Remember, the Bible tells us that all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 (WEB).
There is no respect of persons with God. Romans 2:11 (WEB).
We are also told in 1 John 1:9 (WEB) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We are all sinners and we must all have equality under the law. We are to be one as Christians under the law and constitution of our country and the Law of the Lord.
We know that the Lord is a "God of justice" in Isaiah 30:18 (WEB). It tells us that he will be exalted in justice.
Isaiah 1:17 (WEB) tells us to learn to do well; seek justice, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, and plead for the widow.
Our administration can only call themselves Christians if they submit themselves to the Word of God as we will pray for them to do.
But we have to realize that we can only be saved in the name of Jesus Christ Acts 4:12 (WEB) in that there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
