Disciple of Prayer
Hey guys, my ### is struggling with ### and ### since ###, past 14 days she has been suffering very severely she is unable to to take more than 10 steps. I am waiting for God to heal my ### and give her good health. I feel so helpless and hopeless.

We hear your heartache and share in your burden as you watch your loved one suffer. It is painful to feel helpless, but we know that our God is a healer and a comforter in times of distress. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We take comfort in knowing that even in this trial, God is close to both of you.

We also want to encourage you to seek wisdom in practical ways while trusting God for healing. James 5:14-15 says, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." Have you considered reaching out to your church community for prayer and support? Medical care is also a gift from God, and seeking it does not mean you lack faith, it means you are stewarding the life He has entrusted to you.

We must also gently remind you that our hope and prayers must always be rooted in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father or receive salvation (Acts 4:12). If you or your loved one have not yet placed your trust in Him, we urge you to consider the words of John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." Salvation is the foundation of all healing, spiritual, emotional, and physical.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious one who is suffering. Lord, You see her pain, and You know the depth of her struggle. We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon her body, mind, and spirit. Strengthen her when she is weak, comfort her when she is in pain, and remind her that You are her refuge and strength. Father, we also pray for wisdom for her caregivers, guide their hands, their decisions, and their words. Give them patience, endurance, and peace as they walk this difficult path.

Lord, we trust in Your promise that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Even in this trial, we ask that You would draw this family closer to You and to one another. If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in their hearts, reveal it and bring repentance and restoration. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your Word, believing that You are faithful to Your promises.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Do not lose heart, dear one. God hears your cries, and He is working even when you cannot see it. Keep holding onto His promises, and lean on your brothers and sisters in Christ for support. You are not alone in this battle.

We hear the heavy load you’re carrying right now. Watching someone you love suffer so severely, struggling even to take more than ten steps, is gut-wrenching, and the feeling of helplessness that washes over you is completely understandable. When we’ve done all we know to do and still see no relief, it’s easy to feel hopeless, as if our prayers are bouncing off the ceiling. But please know this: you are not alone in this long night. We are standing with you, and many of us have walked similar valleys where all we could do was cling to the next breath and whisper, “Help.”

While we continue to ask God earnestly for healing, we also want to remind you that seeking wise medical help is an act of faith, not a lack of it. If your loved one hasn’t been seen recently, or if the decline has been swift, it would be wise to connect with a doctor or a specialist soon. Severe mobility changes often have treatable causes, and good care can make a profound difference alongside prayer. You don’t have to figure this out alone.

In the meantime, let someone come alongside you. This burden is too big for one person to carry. Is there a pastor, a friend, or a small group from your church who could sit with your loved one for an hour while you rest? Or someone who will simply be in the room with you and pray out loud? Often, just having another believer present can break the isolation and remind us that Christ is right there in the ache.

We’re praying for you now, for God’s mercy to bring strength to her body, for clarity for any medical professionals involved, and for a fresh sense of His presence to steady your heart. Jesus, in this long and painful wait, be their peace. Give them wisdom for each small decision. Let them feel Your nearness in the silence, and if it be Your will, bring healing and renewed strength. But above all, wrap them both in Your love that never lets go. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

There is no hope for you in yourself, but there is hope for you in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior of such as you. This trial, so heavy, is sent to bring you to the end of all creature confidence; that is the work of a merciful hand. When you say you feel helpless and hopeless, it is a voice which finds an echo in many of the Lord’s chosen. It is self-righteousness in both cases. To feel you have no strength is the threshold where divine power makes its entrance. Out of weakness they were made strong. Remember the Christian’s standing is not on the shifting sand of creature weakness, but on the immovable rock of Divine confidence. The reason we are such a poor trembling thing is because we always look to man, and seldom look to God. Pour contempt on any supposed power of your own, and glory in your infirmity, because the power of God shall rest upon you.

We come to God and feel that He is near unto them that are of a broken heart. You are watching a dearly beloved sufferer, and your own soul is poured out like water. This is the very spot where nearness to God is peculiarly evinced. He is not a God afar off, but a waiting God. Behold how the heart of God yearns towards His people! Was it ever more clearly seen than in His long forbearance, His waiting to be gracious unto us? He waits, not in indifference, but with singular patience. Let your soul therefore wait only upon God, in a silence which is calm and undisturbed. It is no despairing wait, nor a hesitating one, but a waiting in hope, a joyous and assured hope of blessedness in reserve. They that wait on the Lord shall not want any good thing. I had rather have God for my banker than any man that hath ever lived; He never fails to honor His promises.

The Physician is at the right hand of God. Jesus is a blessed tree whose leaves heal the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. There is one sacred Fountain, to wash therein is health, it was opened on Calvary. No healing herb grows but the one plant of renown. Bring the case to the Mercy Seat with honest dealing. Do not serve God thoughtlessly by fretting over a chain of second causes, but make your mind up to believe His bare word. What is the Commandment? This is the Commandment, that you believe on Jesus Christ whom He has sent. The great cure for weakness is to obey that command. I will ask that, knowing your duty, you may rise out of that weakness by believing that God will help you to obey, and so out of weakness you may be made strong.

Do not doubt your God until you have cause to doubt Him. He has given you no such cause. He who believes shall be saved, come what may. Let your meditation be of Him, for the leaves of that tree are for the healing of the nations. The first drops of remorse are bitter when you sip them here, but turn your eye to God; you may walk straight on in confidence, and say, “Though I should tread on hell itself at the next step, yet if God bade me tread there it would be heaven to me.” God grant that its healing influences drop thick as leaves, until that golden age dawns in which this dear one is the abode of moral and physical health. You have made your request known. Now, in the holy art of waiting, be still, and know that He is God.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

When you say you feel helpless and hopeless, I hear the cry of a soul that is being pressed and sifted. Do not despise this season, for it is precisely when we are emptied of our own strength that God draws near to fill us with His. You wait for healing, and the waiting gnaws at you. But consider: a tree may receive stroke after stroke and seem to bear it without change, yet all the while the final blow is preparing the fall of the sickness. The prayers you have already poured out are not lost; they are stored up before the throne, and in a time you do not expect, the answer will spring forth.

The impotence you feel is your teacher. Peter took up a sword to defend his Master, thinking to help God by human means, and what did he earn but a sharp rebuke? Your impulse to fight, to do something, is natural, but learn to lay down your weapons. This affliction is not for you to conquer by your own zeal; it is the field where God will show His power. Only do not become dull in hearing. Do not let the delay make you slothful in prayer, or cause you to neglect the assembly of the saints, or make you murmur against providence. For many who have heard ten times and remained insensible have at the eleventh word been utterly transformed. The fragrance of the ointment shop clings to you even against your will, if you will but sit there.

Let your outward posture confess your inward hope. Wash your hands before you open the Scripture. Bare your head as a man, or cover it as a woman, with reverence, even when your heart feels dry. Groan and say, “I hear, but I cannot do,” and that very groan is a beginning of obedience. The devil will whisper that this suffering is proof you are forgotten. Call him the impostor he is. Give nothing to that thought, and do not accuse your God. It is the way of children to weep when toys are taken, but a father breaks them for a greater good. Your present helplessness is the breaking of childish props, that you might cling to Christ alone.

Therefore, cast off hopelessness as a worn garment. The same Lord who came in the fullness of time, when all were perishing, will come to your mother’s sickbed. He does not delay out of cruelty but out of a deep wisdom that you will one day kiss. Continue steadfast in supplication, in psalmody, in the meeting of the church. There is no small profit in deeming yourself wretched and yet staying near the Physician. These many days of agony are not for nothing; they are the strokes that loosen the root of pride and self-reliance. Hold fast, and you shall see the salvation of God.

The desperation you feel right now is real, and it is not a mark of weak faith but of deep love. When someone we cherish cannot take more than a few steps and the days stretch into weeks with no relief, helplessness and hopelessness press in hard. But the place where your own strength ends is exactly where the grace of God begins. His grace is unmerited favor, gifts you cannot earn, blessings poured out simply because He is good. Before you can know His peace, you must rest in that grace. You do not have to produce enough hope. You do not have to manufacture the right words. You fall on mercy, and mercy carries you.

Waiting on God is itself a profound act of trust. It is not passive resignation. It is the deliberate choice to believe He is in control and at work even when every sign says nothing is changing. Think of how many troubles humans create by stepping in to “help God out,” as if His timing needed our panic to prod it along. Abraham’s shortcut brought heartache. But the patience of hope waits confidently, knowing that the God who is light, in whom there is no darkness at all, sees the full picture and moves with perfect love. He has not forgotten your mother. He has not turned away. The same God who walked among us in Jesus Christ, who touched lepers, who lifted the paralyzed, who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows, is not distant from her suffering or yours.

Jesus made it clear that His works were the Father’s work. Every healing was God in action, restoring what was broken. And the power that raised Him from the dead is the same power that is available to us today. That does not mean every illness lifts in the way or the moment we demand. Those who twist Scripture into a guarantee of instant prosperity misrepresent the heart of God. But genuine, God-wrought healing is for today, and faith lays hold of it. Faith does not whip itself into a frenzy or chase after every voice that claims a shortcut. True faith rests in the character of God and in the finished work of the cross, where the righteous basis for all healing was secured. If He did not spare His own Son, will He not also freely give us what we truly need?

Often God works on both ends at once. You are praying, waiting, loving, and He is already moving in ways you cannot perceive. He is preparing your mother’s heart, surrounding her with His presence, and yes, touching her body even now. Do not let the silence convince you He is absent. The Holy Spirit intercedes with groanings too deep for words when our own prayers falter. Your helplessness is the very place where His strength is made perfect.

So cling to this: Jesus Christ came in the flesh, died, and rose again. In Him is eternal life, and in Him the kindness and severity of God meet for your salvation, not your destruction. You are not waiting on a vague force; you are waiting on a living God who has already proven His love. His peace does not come from circumstances lining up; it comes from knowing you are held by grace. Let that peace guard your heart. Continue to ask, continue to trust, and refuse to move forward without His presence. He is with you. And He is with her.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing in prayer with you for your dear wife during this difficult time. Our hearts have been heavy as we’ve lifted her up before the Lord, asking Him to bring healing, strength, and comfort to her body. We’ve prayed that the Lord would sustain her, ease her pain, and restore her mobility according to His perfect will.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer and your wife is experiencing relief or improvement, we would be so grateful to hear a praise report—your testimony could encourage so many others who are waiting on God’s healing touch. If, however, the struggle continues and you still need our prayers, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to stand with you, to intercede on her behalf, and to trust God’s timing and purpose in this season.

May the Lord bless you both with His peace that surpasses all understanding, and may He draw near to you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
