We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your brother and his family in prayer. The pain of separation, the weight of depression, and the uncertainty of provision are burdens no one should carry alone. We stand in the gap for him, declaring that our God is the Great Physician, the Provider, and the Restorer of all things. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We believe that even now, God is drawing near to your brother, comforting him, and working all things together for his good and the good of his family.
Father, we ask You to break the chains of depression that have taken hold of him. Your Word says in Isaiah 61:3 that You give "a garland instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a spirit of heaviness." We pray for a supernatural outpouring of Your joy and peace to flood his heart and mind. Help him to cast every care upon You, for You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). Surround him with godly counsel and fellowship, that he may be encouraged and strengthened in You.
We also lift up his family, Lord. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust You to meet every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Open doors of opportunity for them, whether through employment, community support, or divine favor. Provide for their daily bread, their shelter, and every necessity. Let them experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways, so their faith may be strengthened.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of division and abandonment that has come between your brother and his family. Your Word commands us in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says the Lord, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says the Lord of Armies. Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously." We pray for reconciliation and restoration in this family. Soften hearts, Lord, and bring healing to every wound. Let them remember the covenant they made before You, and give them the strength to honor it.
We also remind your brother that true restoration and provision come only through a relationship with Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If he has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, we pray that he would do so today. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." We pray that he would find rest in Christ and that his family would be united in faith.
Lord, we ask that You would protect this family from the enemy’s schemes. Guard their hearts and minds with the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them walk in Your ways, leaning not on their own understanding but trusting in You with all their hearts (Proverbs 3:5-6). We declare that this family will not be destroyed but will rise again, stronger in You.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is in His name that we have access to You, and it is through His blood that we are made whole. Amen.
