###'s Back And ###'s Stroke

My friend ###'s back is improving. She had been on bedrest with leaking spinal fluid and could not move her right leg. The leaking has stopped and she can move her right leg, and it is getting better each day. She still will need surgery again someday to at least remove the broken rods from her back.

###'s mother had a stroke on Aug 1st. Today she was able to swallow liquids and purees, a major milestone in recovering. (She had not been able to swallow since the stroke.) She still has no hearing or vision on left side, and left arm is still paralyzed, but she can now move her left leg a little.

Please pray for continued healing for both. Pray for ### and her siblings as they select the right rehab and probably future long-term facility for their mother, and for the finances for that.

Holy God and loving Father, I consciously place my fears, worries, anxieties, and burdens in your hands. I know that I have so little power to change the outcome of these events and I trust that you will work what is pleasing to you, and best for me, out of these situations. Forgive me for my anxious thoughts and for letting my own worry become an idol that robs you of my full trust. Strengthen and empower me to trust you more by the power and presence of your Spirit.
