Father we agree with this prayer and for exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask or imagine, Eph 3:20, even great and mighty things we do not know, Jer 33:3, keep us from deception, Matt 24:4, and all evil, Matt 6:13, in Jesus' Name

The promise of Romans 8:28 stands sure, but mark well its boundaries: "to those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Love for God is not a mere sentiment; it is the keeping of his commandments. If you would see all things work for good, you must first sever every tie that binds you to what God forbids. For there is a peace that is no peace at all. Robbers agree together, and those who build towers against heaven share a unity that leads only to destruction. I do not wish you an agreement that conspires against the soul. Sometimes division is the necessary work of a surgeon's knife, cutting away the incurable part so the body may live. Therefore, if your plea for peace among extended family means silencing the truth to preserve a false harmony, such agreement is not from God. The Lord himself said he came not to bring peace but a sword: he separates light from darkness, sin from holiness.

You ask that fruit of the Spirit increase, especially love. True love does not rejoice in wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. Let the peace of God act as umpire in your hearts. When you are wronged, the thought of revenge will wrestle with patience; set peace forward as the judge to bestow the prize upon endurance. Bear with evil nobly, for that shames the evildoer and brings you a reward. But do not take this to mean you must call evil good for the sake of quiet. Follow peace with all men, yet with holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. Your own life must shine with the preparation of the gospel of peace: a virtuous walk, ready to stand against the evil one.

For the young mother trapped in spiritual confusion, let her know that the mercy of God calls her to repentance. If her manner of life has wandered from the narrow path, let her not delay to cast off the deed of darkness and put on the armor of light. The provision and healing you ask for the baby will follow when the soul first finds peace with God through a clean conscience. Our warfare is with the devil, and if we are at war with him, we are at peace with God. Christ sent his followers as sheep among wolves, harmless as doves, yet wise as serpents. Grant this sister strength to abandon any union or entanglement that dishonors the marriage covenant, for sex and dwelling together belong only within the lifelong bond of one man and one woman. There is no blessing for that which Scripture condemns, but abundant grace for the one who turns.

Do not confuse the afflictions of life, which the Lord sometimes permits for our training, with the moral evils that must be fled. The "evil" that God can bring upon a city is trouble, pestilence, or famine, not sin. But the "evil" we are to overcome with good is the personal malice and injury of others, as well as the temptations within. Plead the blood of Jesus indeed, but let it be applied by a living faith that produces obedience. Let your love be with faith, for without faith, love amounts to nothing. Put your trust entirely in Christ alone for salvation, and then you may have a cheerful confidence that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion. Pray for the salvation of sons and families, but remember that God will not be mocked; a life inconsistent with the gospel drives them away rather than draws them near.

Stand firm then, not forsaking the assembly of believers, for isolation makes you easy prey. Be prepared for the gospel of peace, your feet shod with readiness to live out the good news. And may the peace which Christ himself left, that fixed and steadfast peace between you and the Father, rule in your hearts and guard your minds. That peace comes not from avenging yourselves, but from God's own free reconciliation. In every trial, say with the prophet, “Thou wilt prepare the heart.” Ask for an obedient heart, and the Lord will incline his ear. I join my prayer to yours: may you indeed not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Your prayer rises with a deep trust in the promise of Romans 8:28, and that pleases the Lord. He does indeed work all things together for good for those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. That confidence doesn’t sit still; it moves us to plead the blood of Jesus over every part of our lives, asking Him to overcome evil with good. He hears that cry.

As you seek His covering, remember that walking in His purpose goes hand in hand with walking away from what He calls evil. The fear of the Lord isn’t a cowering dread, it’s a holy awe that learns to hate evil as He does. Pride and self-reliance tell us we can manage our own paths, but true wisdom says, “Fear the Lord and depart from evil.” That very turning is what brings health to the body and refreshment to the bones. When you ask for healing for those two dear ones, and for peace with extended family, you’re asking for the fruit of that deep reverence. God often restores physical and relational health as we set our hearts against sin, not against people, but against the pride, unforgiveness, and self-wisdom that breed strife.

The longing you have for your children to see themselves as God sees them is exactly right. They need to see His goodness, but also His holiness. A generation that boasts in evil and parades wickedness is rushing toward destruction, but when young hearts learn early that the end of evil is ruin, they are guarded. Pray not just for their self-image, but for a genuine hatred of what is perverse, and a delight in what is righteous. The Lord will keep their feet from being taken.

For the single mother trapped in spiritual confusion, ask that the fear of the Lord would break through the fog. Human reasoning apart from God always leads to despair, but His wisdom lights a clean path. Pray that she would hear the Shepherd’s voice and depart from the evil that enslaves, not by her own strength, but by clinging to the One who delivers. The blood of Jesus doesn’t just cover; it cleanses and empowers a new way of living. She needs to see that blessing follows obedience, not the other way around. As she turns, provision, protection, and healing for that baby will follow in God’s faithful timing.

Even the anxieties over travels and appointments are held within this truth: when you refuse to be wise in your own eyes and instead honor the Lord with your substance and your steps, He becomes your confidence. Evil may scheme, but it will not have the final word over a life surrendered to Christ. The end of the wicked is sure, but the one who walks with Him drinks from rivers of pleasure forever.

So continue to praise Him for the amazing prayers already answered. That gratitude is a shield. Keep your tongue from deceit, do good, seek peace and pursue it. As you love Him and walk in that reverence, you will see His goodness overcome every darkness. He will strengthen you in the middle of an evil generation, and keep your heart pure until the day when all glory is given to Him, and the candle of the wicked is put out forever.

We are deeply grateful for the privilege to stand with you in prayer, lifting up your heartfelt requests before our Heavenly Father. It has been our joy to agree with you in faith, trusting in the truth of Romans 8:28—that God is working all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

As we continue to seek Him together, we ask that you share an update with us. If God has moved in mighty ways and answered your prayers, we would love to rejoice with you and give Him all the glory. If your requests still feel unmet, we encourage you to post them again so we may persist in prayer alongside you, believing in His perfect timing and will.

We pray that His favor would continue to rest upon your life, your work, and your family. May His peace guard your heart, His love overflow in your relationships, and His healing touch bring restoration where it is needed. Let us hold fast to the promise that evil will be overcome by good, and that His goodness will fill you to overflowing.

We lift up your children, your loved ones, and all those mentioned in your prayer, asking that God’s presence would draw them closer to Himself. May His Spirit cultivate love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in each of you. We pray for protection over your travels, provision in every need, and wisdom in every decision.

Thank you for trusting us with your burdens. May God bless you abundantly as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen.
