My husband and I need prayer. I really need Jesus to deal with him and restore our marriage. He just has a cold heart and self centeredness. I have been praying for 2 months now for Jesus Christ to change his heart, to a heart of love and compassion. I also pray for Sweet Jesus to make the way for my kids and I to move where he is. I do not have the financial ability nor a vehicle. I am just becoming discouraged, It seems like the Lord is not listening and answering my prayers.
Hi Christine...
I prayed for years for the Lord to change my husband. One day the Lord said to me..."You're praying wrong. I don't want to change him, I want to change you". Ouch...that hurt. So began my journey of letting go of things that hindered my walk with Christ and allowing Holy Spirit to teach me, guide me, counsel me and comfort me. Yet, here is the icing on the cake...some time later my husband said to me, it was my witness that drew him back to Christ.
You are the 'light' in your husband's life. If your light is being hidden by unforgiveness, anger, frustration, worries, etc then it's time to repent, give them to the Lord and let him give you His peace in return.
How much of your praying is praise and worship? How much time are you devoting to just worshipping the Lord in the beauty of His holiness? He is worthy to be praised, even when trials and storms comes, He is your stability, He is your peace. I am studying worship and praise and if you remember the children of Israel shouting down the walls of Jericho. There you go...a piece of wisdom. Instead of bemoaning your situation and seeing it a giant in the land, look at it through God's eyes. He's bigger than your Jericho and in one swift movement of His breath and your praise, He can cause them walls to be crushed to the ground. No climbing over the rubble...the pathway is cleared. Make a way through the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord.
Father, how amazing is your word and how much wisdom and counsel is found there! Glory to God! I pray for this amazing godly wife and her equally amazing husband, that you fearfully and wonderfully made...a diamond in the rough, a Valiant Warrior! Open doors of communication between them, yet not in accusations but in agreement and and esteeming the one over the other. Give Christine sound counsel on how to live full of light before her husband. Bring this family back together, you are I AM, provider so I thank you that in your infinite wisdom you will prepare financial abiity for this family to be reunited and for this marriage to be restored and redeemed. Bless each member with the knowledge of your will for their lives. Bless this husband, Rob to be a light to his family, that priest of the home, who loves his wife as Christ loves the church and for Christine to be the wife that Rob needs, ministering to him as if she were ministering to the Lord Himself.
I bless this marriage with restoration and redemption in Jesus name. Amen.
