We lift our hearts together in prayer for your family member and all those who will be traveling over mountain roads tonight, especially those who serve our communities by plowing, sanding, and salting the roads. The work they do is vital, but the conditions they face can be treacherous. We ask for Your divine protection over every mile they travel, every turn they navigate, and every moment they spend ensuring the safety of others.
Father, we declare Your promise from Psalm 121:7-8 over them: *"The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore."* We trust in Your unfailing protection, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround them with Your angels, as You promise in Psalm 91:11: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."*
We also pray for wisdom and alertness for every driver on the road tonight. May they exercise caution, patience, and good judgment, especially in areas where the roads are slick or visibility is poor. Let Your peace reign in their hearts, so they may drive with clarity and avoid recklessness. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
Lord, we ask that You would guide the hands of those who maintain the roads. Give them strength and endurance as they work long hours in the cold and darkness. Protect them from fatigue and distraction, and let their efforts be effective in keeping the roads safe for all travelers. We thank You for their service and ask that You would bless them abundantly for their dedication.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which we can approach You (Acts 4:12). We trust in His power to intercede for us and to bring our prayers before You.
May Your will be done in every life touched by this prayer. Keep them safe, guide them home, and let Your glory be revealed through their journeys. Amen.
