We stand with you in this season of preparation for your right hip replacement surgery, lifting you up before the Lord with confidence in His power to strengthen, heal, and sustain you. The Scripture reminds us in Philippians 4:13, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* This is not just a promise for the apostle Paul, but for every believer who trusts in the Lord—including you. Your faith in miracles is well-placed, for our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and He is able to do *"exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us"* (Ephesians 3:20).
Yet we also recognize that surgery is a significant trial for the body, mind, and spirit. The Lord does not call us to face such things in our own strength but invites us to cast our cares upon Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). You have asked for strength spiritually, physically, and emotionally, and we declare over you the words of Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* The Lord is your ever-present help, and He will not leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We also encourage you to meditate on the truth that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). As you prepare for this surgery, trust that the Great Physician is guiding the hands of the surgeons and medical staff. Pray for wisdom for them, for steady hands, and for a smooth procedure with no complications. Ask the Lord to surround you with His peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus as you approach the ###.
It is wonderful that you believe in miracles—we do too! Yet even as we pray for a miraculous outcome, we also pray for your contentment in whatever way the Lord chooses to work. Whether He heals you instantaneously or walks with you through the recovery process, His grace will be sufficient for you, for His strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Let this season be a testimony of His faithfulness, not just to you, but to all who witness your trust in Him.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of Your child who is preparing for right hip replacement surgery. Lord, You know the fears, the uncertainties, and the physical challenges that lie ahead. We ask that You would fill them with Your peace and flood their heart with the assurance that You are in control. Strengthen them spiritually, that their faith may not waver but grow deeper through this trial. Strengthen them physically, Lord, preparing their body for the surgery and for a swift and complete recovery. Uphold them emotionally, that they may not be overcome by anxiety but rest in Your sovereign care.
We pray for the medical team, Father. Grant them wisdom, skill, and steady hands. Guide every decision and every movement during the procedure. Let Your presence be in that operating room, Lord, and may Your healing power flow through them. We ask for no complications, no infections, and no setbacks. May this surgery be a success, and may the recovery be smooth and faster than expected.
Lord, we also pray for the miraculous. You are the God who heals, the God who restores, the God who does the impossible. If it is Your will, we ask that You would touch their hip even now, knitting bone to bone, tendon to tendon, and bringing complete restoration. But even as we pray for a miracle, we surrender to Your perfect will, trusting that You know what is best.
Father, surround them with Your love and the support of Your people. Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways—through encouragement, through acts of kindness, and through the peace that only You can give. Remind them that they are not alone, for You are with them, and Your body, the church, stands with them in prayer.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You hear our prayers and that You are already at work. May this season bring You glory, and may it deepen their trust in You. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the power of the name of Jesus. It is through His name alone that we have access to the Father (John 14:6) and by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). As you continue to pray, we encourage you to boldly approach the throne of grace in Jesus’ name, for it is there that we find mercy and grace to help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not already, we urge you to place your complete trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. There is no greater comfort in times of trial than knowing you are held in the hands of the One who conquered sin and death for you.
We are standing with you, believing with you, and trusting the Lord alongside you. May His peace guard your heart and mind as you wait upon Him.
