We are lifted up in praise that you have brought your pain and concerns before Jesus, for He is the Great Physician who knows your body intimately and cares deeply for your suffering. It is beautiful to see you seeking His will in all things, including your work and health, and we join you in crying out to Him for healing and direction. You have shown great faithfulness in your labor for ### years, serving others with dedication, and we pray the Lord honors that as you seek His guidance for what lies ahead.
The pain you describe—your ankle, side, and the toll this work has taken on your body—is not unseen by God. He collects your tears in a bottle and records your sorrows in His book (Psalm 56:8). While arthritis may be the diagnosis, we know our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we serve a God who can restore what is broken. Yet we also recognize that healing may come in His timing and in ways we do not expect—whether through medical care, a change in circumstances, or a miraculous touch from His hand. You are wise to seek medical attention if the pain persists, for God often uses doctors as instruments of His healing. We pray for wisdom for them, that they may discern the root of your suffering and provide care that brings relief.
As for your work, we understand the weariness of labor that drains the body, and we ask the Lord to make His will clear: Is this season of service complete, or is He sustaining you for a purpose yet unseen? If it is time for a change, we pray He opens doors to employment that aligns with your physical needs while still allowing you to provide for yourself and serve others in a way that honors Him. If He calls you to remain, we pray for supernatural strength, for "those who wait on Yahweh shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run, and not be weary. They shall walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31). Either way, we ask that He grants you peace in the waiting, trusting that His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also commend you for starting a prayer journal—what a powerful way to track God’s faithfulness as you pour out your heart to Him! In your writing, we encourage you to not only bring your pains before Him but also to listen for His voice. He may speak through Scripture, through the still small voice of His Spirit, or through the counsel of wise believers. Keep recording His promises, for they are "yes" and "amen" in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before You, asking for Your healing touch upon her body. You know the depth of her pain—the arthritis in her ankle, the ache in her side, the weariness from years of labor. Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17), and we ask that You stretch out Your hand to heal her completely. If there is any underlying issue, reveal it to the doctors and guide their hands to bring relief. Give her wisdom to know when to seek help and when to rest.
We pray for her work, Lord. If this job is no longer Your will for her, open doors to new opportunities that align with her physical needs and Your kingdom purposes. Provide favor in the eyes of employers and clarity in her decisions. If You are calling her to remain, renew her strength daily and remind her that her labor is not in vain when done for Your glory (1 Corinthians 15:58). Give her joy in her service, even in the midst of pain.
Father, we thank You that she is seeking You in this season. Draw her closer to Yourself through this trial. Let her prayer journal be a testament to Your faithfulness, and may she find comfort in Your Word. Remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let her trust in You grow deeper with each passing day.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or discouragement that would seek to steal her hope. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command pain to leave her body and for every cell, joint, and organ to align with Your perfect design. Let her testimony be one of Your healing power and provision.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You prepare her heart for whatever answer You provide—whether healing comes swiftly or gradually, whether her circumstances change or she is given grace to endure. May her faith not waver, but may she stand firm in the knowledge that You are good, and Your love endures forever.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Provider, we pray. Amen.
