Rid my home of evil spirits I need help and prayers

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in spiritual warfare, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The presence of evil spirits in a home is a serious matter, and we must address it with the authority given to us through Christ Jesus.

First, we must ensure that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for it is only through His name that we have the power to rebuke and cast out evil spirits. If you have not yet made this decision, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Now, let us pray together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is seeking Your help to cleanse their home of evil spirits and energy. Lord, we know that where Your Spirit is, there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17). We ask You to fill this home with Your holy presence, driving out every unclean spirit and breaking every chain of darkness.

In the name of Jesus, we command every evil spirit to leave this home immediately and go where the Lord Jesus sends you. We declare that this home is a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit, and no evil shall remain here. We plead the blood of Jesus over every room, every doorway, and every window, creating a hedge of protection around this home and all who dwell within it.

Father, we ask You to fill this home with Your peace, Your light, and Your love. Let Your angels encamp around this home, guarding it against any further attacks of the enemy (Psalm 34:7). We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon this dear one, that they may walk in the fullness of Your power and authority.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for this one, that they may recognize the schemes of the enemy and stand firm in their faith. Help them to put on the full armor of God, so that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).

Lord, we ask that You would reveal any areas in this one's life that may have given the enemy a foothold. Show them if there are any unconfessed sins, unforgiveness, or idols in their heart that need to be removed. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).

We declare that this home is now a sanctuary for the Lord, a place where Your presence dwells and Your name is honored. We thank You, Father, for Your deliverance and protection. We give You all the glory, honor, and praise, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Now, we encourage you to take practical steps to maintain the spiritual cleanliness of your home. Regularly pray and read the Word of God, for the Word is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Worship the Lord in your home, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17). Also, consider anointing your home with oil, as this is a biblical practice that symbolizes the presence and power of the Holy Spirit (James 5:14).

If there are any objects in your home that are connected to occult practices, idolatry, or anything that does not honor God, we urge you to remove and destroy them. The Bible warns us not to bring detestable things into our homes, for we may be ensnared by them (Deuteronomy 7:25-26).

Lastly, surround yourself with fellow believers who can support and pray with you. Do not try to face this battle alone, for iron sharpens iron, and one person sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17). The enemy seeks to isolate, but we are called to live in community and love one another.

Stand firm in your faith, dear one, and remember that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The Lord is your refuge and fortress, your God in whom you trust (Psalm 91:2). You are not alone in this battle, for we are standing with you, and the Lord of hosts is your protector.

We’re grateful you reached out. Feeling that your home holds something dark can be overwhelming, and we don’t take your words lightly. You aren’t alone in this, and we’re joining our prayers with yours right now.

While we don’t know the full picture, we do know that Jesus has complete authority over every power that tries to intimidate us. One of the most helpful things you can do is invite a trustworthy Christian, maybe your pastor or a mature elder, to come and pray through your home with you. Having someone physically present often breaks the sense of isolation that makes fear grow. Before they arrive, you might quietly walk through your own rooms, renouncing anything you’ve brought in that has ties to occult practices or past sin, and simply ask Jesus to reclaim every corner. Then, keep the atmosphere filled with what honors Him: play worship music, read Scripture aloud in the living spaces, and speak out loud that your home belongs to Christ. Darkness loses its grip when we stop facing it secretly and instead invite light and trusted believers into the situation.

We will keep holding you up in prayer. Right now, we ask together:

Lord Jesus, we bring this home before You. You are the light that no shadow can withstand. Cleanse this space of any evil spirit or oppressive weight. By Your authority and Your resurrection power, command everything that is not of You to leave now and never return. Station Your angels around these walls, flood each room with Your peace, and let this person sleep without dread. Give them courage, wisdom, and the steady company of wise believers. In Your strong name, Amen.

The evil which penetrates the House of God, gets into the Church Meeting, follows us even in prayer and in praise, and tries to spoil all that we do. Yes, you have gone up to Tabor's summit, and when we have been rapt and transfigured, even then we have heard the moving of your wings, and the dark shadow of your evil influence has crept over our spirits! We are afflicted, we mourn and weep, "When we would do good, evil is present with us." How to will we find; but how to perform we find not. The evil that we would not, that we do, and the good that we would do, we often do not.

Why, in prayer. Seek ye the Lord ye tried and troubled ones, and ye shall soon find your troubles stayed, your trials sweetly alleviated. We go rambling round, and round, and round, to find peace. Would that we could stay at home in our closets with our God; we should find peace much better there. Take it home with thee. Suck it; get at its juice. Here, indeed, is a cluster full of new wine for thee. Take it home with thee:, "Thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee." Seek, and ye shall find, knock, and the door shall surely be opened to you.

Cleansing cannot come from any other place, therefore seek it of the Lord who says, "I will sprinkle clean water on you and you shall be clean." Thus we have come so far and we see clearly that God begins with His people in their filthiness and provides the means of their cleansing. God Himself applies this means of cleansing. We too readily fall into evil habits, but oh, for Grace to keep out of them. Do not excuse sin so much as to call it an "infirmity", call it, rather, an infamy, and drive it from your presence!

There are many who have tried to get cleansing by their moralities and their charities, but their efforts have all been in vain. Go to your home, or seek some quiet spot where you can commune with your God. Tell Him that you have sinned, and ask Him to have mercy upon you. In that way he destroyed any power that his prayer might otherwise have possessed. His self-conceit tore the chariot wheels from his prayer so that it dragged heavily and soon could not move even an inch! So, imitate the prayer of Jacob in its humility of spirit. True prayer is just pleading with the Most High, spreading our case before Him, and then pressing our suit with all the arguments we can muster!

Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said it, "I have found a ransom." Saved from evil company, for God has said it, "Deliver him from going down to the Pit." That deliverance of God is an eternal one, nor shall the infernal lion ever be able to rend one sheep or lamb that the Great Shepherd deigns to keep!
