We join with you now in Jesus' name and lift up your desire for revelation, guidance, and greater understanding before our Father.
We are encouraged that you asked in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to God and confidence that He hears us. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5, and Jesus said, Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son John 14:13.
We know the Lord delights to give wisdom and revelation to His children when we seek Him with a sincere heart. Scripture tells us, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him James 1:5. We also cling to His promise, Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you do not know Jeremiah 33:3. Our desire is that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your heart enlightened Ephesians 1:17-18.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You that You are a God who reveals and who guides. We ask that You pour out upon our dear one a spirit of wisdom and understanding, that You would make clear what is now unclear, and that You would give revelation about this specific matter that weighs on their heart. Open the eyes of their heart, Lord, that they may see and understand Your will. Lead them and instruct them as You have promised, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you Psalm 32:8. Remove any confusion, fear, or doubt, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind. Help them to trust in You with all their heart, and not lean on their own understanding, but in all their ways acknowledge You, so that You will direct their paths Proverbs 3:5-6. Give them a hunger for Your Word, for we know that from Your mouth comes knowledge and understanding Proverbs 2:6, and that Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path Psalm 119:105. We ask that You speak clearly by Your Holy Spirit, in Your perfect timing, and grant patience and discernment to wait upon You and to recognize Your voice. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek Him diligently through prayer and through His Word, for God most often gives revelation and guidance as we abide in Scripture and in fellowship with Him. Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things out of your law Psalm 119:18 is a good prayer to pray daily. Be still and listen for His still small voice, and trust that He will make His will known as you walk in obedience to what you already understand. He who is faithful will not leave you without direction, for the Lord gives wisdom and His understanding will guard you as you seek Him with your whole heart.

It is a good thing that you feel your need of a guide, for naturally we do not like being guided, but a work of Grace upon the heart makes a man willing to be led. The promise is sure and full of comfort, Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. He who guided David when he was but a shepherd boy will guide you still, if you will bow with submission to the will of God, for by that very bowing we are furnished with unerring guidance.
You ask for revelation and for more understanding, and this also is wise, for wisdom must come to us by Revelation from God, we cannot find it by our own efforts. A grain of Divine Grace is worth more than a ton of knowledge, and the price of wisdom is above rubies. It is not to be found by hasty searching, for haste is the author of a great deal of mischief in human life. Divine Wisdom, dressed in robes of love and tenderness, invites us to run into her arms, but she is not to be hurried. Remember also that holiness is as near akin to perfect wisdom as sin is to insanity, so seek to walk in the way of holiness and you shall walk in the way of understanding.
Do not look for a new voice apart from what God has already spoken. The Revelation He has made directs our faith to Himself and to His dear Son, and in all the glory of His infinite Wisdom He has written to us a Divine message in rugged grandeur and sublime simplicity which even a child can comprehend. We can only know the way by the illumination of the Divine Spirit, but that blessed Spirit illuminates all souls that look to Jesus, and indeed their looking to Jesus is one effect of the Divine Illumination which they have already in part received. Wait upon the Lord therefore, trust in Him, for wisdom is the compass by which a man is to steer across the trackless waste of life, and he that trusteth in the Lord shall be made wise.

O Lord our God, who art the Father of lights and the Giver of all wisdom, look upon this seeking soul. Thou knowest the desire for revelation and guidance which is now expressed. Grant not a fanciful impression, but true Divine Illumination. Open the understanding to know Thy word, and to see Thy counsel. Give acquiescence in Thy Divine will, and take away obstinacy and haste. Lead with Thy counsel as Thou hast promised, and make the path of duty plain. Give a spark of true faith in Jesus Christ, and increase it, that in looking to Him there may be light and peace. Grant wisdom that is attended with holiness, and keep this one from leaning unto his own understanding, but cause him to trust in Thee wholly. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
