We join with you in Jesus' name and lift up your desire for revelation, guidance, and deeper understanding before our Father in heaven.
We are encouraged that you asked in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and confidence that He hears us. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 reminds us, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Your heart to seek understanding is pleasing to God, for He delights to give wisdom to His children. James 1:5 says, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. We claim this promise for you now, that God will give generously and without finding fault as you ask. Proverbs 2:6 tells us, For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. And Jeremiah 33:3 says, Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you do not know.
We also remember that true revelation will always align with God's Word and is given by His Spirit to lead us into truth and not confusion. Daniel 2:22 says, He reveals the deep and secret things. He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. Psalm 32:8 gives us comfort, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. And Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one who is seeking revelation and guidance right now. Lord, You see the specific matter on their heart even when details are not spoken, for You know all things. We ask that You pour out Your wisdom and understanding upon them. Open the eyes of their heart as Psalm 119:18 says, Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things out of your law. Let Your Holy Spirit guide them into all truth and make Your will clear, whether through Your Word, through godly counsel, or through the still small voice of Your Spirit. Remove any confusion, fear, or doubt, and grant peace that surpasses understanding as they wait on You. Help them to test every revelation against Scripture and to walk in obedience to what You show them. Give them patience to wait for Your perfect timing and faith to trust that You are already directing their steps. We ask that You reveal what needs to be revealed, conceal what needs to wait, and give a deep, abiding understanding that draws them closer to You. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We have heard your request for revelation and guidance, and we join with you in prayer before the throne of grace, asking in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord that the Lord Himself would give you understanding.
You do well to ask for wisdom, for wisdom is man's true path, the compass by which we steer across the trackless waste of life, and it must come to us by Revelation from God, for we cannot find it by our own efforts. We were by nature blind as bats to the things of Divine Truth, and no natural intelligence can attain to it. A grain of Divine Grace is worth more than a ton of knowledge, and Grace must come and enlighten the understanding, influence the will and change the affections.
Remember that the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding. Divine Wisdom, dressed in robes of love and tenderness, invites us to run into her arms, and holiness is as near akin to perfect wisdom as sin is to insanity. The Lord has promised to guide His people. As it is written, Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. That guidance is not given to a proud and hasty spirit, for haste is the author of a great deal of mischief in human life, but the Grace of God dethrones obstinacy and gives us in its place acquiescence in the Divine will. Bowing with submission to the will of God, by that very fact we are furnished with unerring guidance.
Therefore we pray for you now.
O Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, that Thou wouldst grant to this seeking soul a clear understanding of Thy Word. Open the eyes of the understanding, that Thy truth may not only be heard but received and become sanctifying. Grant not a fleeting notion, but that true wisdom which is to know Christ and to be found in Him. Keep this dear soul from hasty steps and from leaning to natural reasoning, and lead by Thy counsel through Thy written Word and Thy Holy Spirit. Give patience to wait upon Thy timing, for Thou dost at the right moment bring forth Thy stroke of wisdom, and give grace to walk in obedience to what Thou dost reveal. We ask this not because we are worthy, but for Jesus sake, through whom alone is salvation. Amen.

It is a solemn thing to have a sort of understanding of Divine Truth and not to be affected by it so as to repent of sin and live unto God. Ask that the Lord would not only make you to know wisdom in the hidden part, but to make you to walk in it, for in keeping His commandments there is great reward.

We have received your request and we are joining you in prayer in the name of Jesus for revelation and guidance and for greater understanding.
We pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, to raise and guide your understanding so that you may perceive what is hidden and know His will. True wisdom is not from our own mind and it is not the wisdom of this world, which comes to nothing, but it is God's wisdom, hidden in a mystery, which He foreordained for His people. As Scripture says, the natural person does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and they are discerned only by the Spirit who searches the deep things of God.
We pray that you will find this wisdom where it is truly hid, in Christ Himself, in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. It is not found by trusting only to ourselves or to arguments, but by the grace of the Spirit working in us, through humble prayer, through acquaintance with Scripture and sound doctrine, and through a life kept clean from deceit and wickedness, for virtue and the fear of the Lord are the beginning of wisdom.
We ask the Lord to make His way clear to you, to give you full assurance with understanding, to guide your steps and to grant you peace as you wait on His perfect timing. May He lead you by His Spirit, keep you in love and in faith, and help you to walk in obedience to what He reveals.
We are praying for you now that God will grant you clarity, direct your path, and increase your understanding according to His riches and power, which raised Christ from the dead and is able to draw us to Himself. Your request for revelation and understanding is heard, and I am praying for you in the name of Jesus. The word revelation itself means an unveiling, the lifting of a covering and the taking away of seals so that something hidden can be seen clearly. Scripture introduces itself that way. The opening verse says it is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants. It is not a sealed book that cannot be understood. It is an unveiling of Jesus Himself.
That helps to focus prayer for guidance. True understanding does not start with curious details about the future or with hidden information alone, but with seeing Jesus more clearly. When He is unveiled to us, other things begin to find their proper place. God gave that unveiling through Jesus to His servants, signified by His messenger to John, and at times an elder explains what John is seeing. The point is that God intends to make Himself known and to guide His people, not to hide from them.
There is a helpful key in the first chapter, verse 19, where John is told to write the things which he has seen, and the things which are, and the things which will be after these things. That threefold pattern shows that God gives order and clarity. He shows what has been revealed, what is present, and what is yet to come. You can ask Him for that same order in your own situation, for wisdom to understand what He has already shown you in His Word, discernment for what is before you now, and trust for what lies ahead.
I am praying that the Lord will give you the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord, with quick understanding to know His will.
