Revelation about something specific

Your desire for more revelation and understanding is a prayer God loves to answer, and He is not reluctant to give it.

The very word revelation in Scripture means an unveiling, the lifting of the wraps and taking off of the seals. It is not a sealed book that cannot be understood. From its first verse the book of Revelation tells us it is the unveiling of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Him to show to His servants. It was made known through a messenger to John, and at times others in heaven helped explain what John was seeing. The heart of all true revelation is not merely information about events or answers to specific questions, but a clearer sight of Jesus Himself.

That is why the key to understanding that unveiling is given in Revelation chapter 1 verse 19, where John is told to write the things which he has seen, the things which are, and the things which will be after these things. God wants you to see Christ as He is, to understand where you are now in His purposes, and to trust Him with what is still to come. He does not leave His people in darkness about these things.

So we pray that the Lord will give you what His Word promises to those who ask, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord and of quick understanding. That sevenfold work of the Holy Spirit, described as the seven Spirits before the throne, is the complete work of God to open eyes and guide hearts. As the apostle prayed for believers, we ask that God would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of your understanding would be enlightened to know the hope of His calling and the riches of your inheritance in Christ.

We are praying for you now in the name of Jesus, that He will unveil Himself more clearly to you through His Word, that He will grant you discernment for the decisions before you, and that He will direct your steps in His way of righteousness. Seek Him in Scripture, ask Him to speak, and trust that He who began to reveal His Son to you will continue to make His will known as you walk in obedience and keep your eyes on Jesus. May you experience His touch, His strength, His help and His guidance in a fresh way, and may you live in a way that is pleasing to Him.
