We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, seeking His wisdom and discernment in this situation. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 14:15, "A simple man believes everything, but the prudent man carefully considers his ways." It is wise to be cautious, especially when unsolicited offers of money or prizes come our way. Scripture also tells us in 1 John 4:1, "Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."
We rebuke any spirit of deception or fraud that may be at work here. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and we will not be ignorant of his devices (2 Corinthians 2:11). We pray that if this person is indeed a fraud, the Lord would expose their true intentions and bring their schemes to light. Let the truth be revealed, Lord, so that Your child may not fall prey to deception.
Father God, we ask that You grant divine discernment to see through any lies or falsehoods. Surround this situation with Your angels, Lord, and let no weapon formed against Your child prosper (Isaiah 54:17). If this offer is legitimate, we pray that You would make it clear and guide every step according to Your will. But if it is not, we ask that You shut it down completely and protect Your child from harm.
We also lift up the heart of the one who made this request. Lord, we pray that You would guard their heart against greed or the love of money, for "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil" (1 Timothy 6:10). Instead, fill them with contentment in You and trust in Your provision. Remind them that You are their Provider, and Your plans for them are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11).
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). It is only through Him that we can come boldly before the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16).
Heavenly Father, we pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your child walk in the light of Your truth. Amen.
