Thank you for opening your heart and sharing the heavy burden you are carrying for your father and your family. Your love and faithfulness in seeking the Lord for him during this long and difficult rehabilitation is deeply moving, and we have lifted him and all of you before the Father in prayer.
What brings comfort in such a time is remembering who Jesus has shown us the Father to be. Jesus did not act on His own, but lived in perfect harmony with the Father, speaking the Father's words and doing the Father's works. To see Jesus is to see the Father's heart. All of His compassion, all of His healing of sick bodies and restoring of broken lives, is the work of the Father made visible through the Son. The Father and the Son are one, and to honor the Son is to honor the Father. When we see Jesus touch the suffering with mercy and power, we are seeing what the Father Himself desires to do.
Because of Jesus, we have direct access to the Father. We do not need another mediator. Jesus said the Father Himself loves you because you have loved Jesus and believed that He came from God. We come to the Father confidently in the name of Jesus, knowing we are heard and loved.
In that name we have prayed for your father. We asked the Father, the true physician, to have mercy on his body after this stroke and surgery. We asked Him to bring healing to the brain and nervous system, to restore movement, sensation and reflexes, and to give strength to eat, to speak and to walk again as before. We asked Him to steady blood pressure and all vital signs, to heal infections and seizures, and to cause the bedsores that have not healed to finally close and recover. We also prayed for the doctors, nurses and therapists who care for him daily, that God would give them wisdom, skill and steadiness in every decision for his rehabilitation.
We also prayed for the deeper need you mentioned, the forgiveness of sins. Forgiveness comes only through Jesus Christ, who alone is the way to the Father. There is no other way. Through faith in His death and resurrection we are brought to the Father and receive pardon and peace. We asked that your father and your whole family would know that assurance, and that your home would be filled with the presence and peace of God.
You also shared concern about curses and spiritual harm. The Scriptures show us that Jesus has all authority and that nothing can separate those who belong to Him from the Father's love and protection. We do not need to live in fear of dark powers, for Christ has overcome them. We prayed that God would sanctify your home with His presence, guard your family from fear and every form of evil, and fill you with faith, unity, strength and peace as you walk through this trial together. The Father who watches over you is greater than any threat, and He keeps those who trust in His name.
We will continue to pray that the Lord will sustain you day by day, give you rest and courage, and according to His perfect will and mercy, bring complete healing and restoration. May you experience His love and nearness in these days, knowing that every prayer offered in the name of Jesus is heard by the Father who loves you.
