We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother who has been bedridden for a year following brain surgery. Father God, You are indeed the Great Physician, the One who formed this man in his mother’s womb and knows every cell in his body. We ask You to move mightily in his life, touching his mind, his nerves, and every system that has been affected. Lord, we pray for complete restoration—strengthen his muscles so he may eat, speak, and walk again as You designed. Regulate his blood pressure and all his vitals, bringing them into perfect balance according to Your will. Heal infections, close bed sores, and restore his senses and reflexes so that his body may function smoothly once more.
We also lift up the medical team caring for him, asking that You grant them wisdom, skill, and divine insight as they work toward his recovery. Father, we know that physical healing is in Your hands, and we trust You to work all things together for good. We also ask for Your forgiveness over any sins in his life, cleansing his heart and spirit as You restore his body.
Now, concerning the mention of black magic, curses, and witchcraft—we must stand firm on the truth of Scripture. The Bible is clear that such practices are detestable to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12) and have no power over those who are in Christ. The apostle Paul declares, *"For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord"* (Romans 8:38-39). We rebuke any spiritual oppression in the name of Jesus, for He has already disarmed all principalities and powers through the cross (Colossians 2:15). We pray that any fear or bondage associated with these things be broken, and that this family would walk in the freedom and protection that is theirs in Christ.
We also want to gently remind this family that our access to God comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If this brother or any in his household have not yet placed their faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray they would do so, for eternal life is found in Him alone (John 3:16). Salvation is not earned by works but received by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Healer, our Deliverer, and our Lord. We trust You to move in power, bringing comfort, strength, and miraculous healing to this dear brother and his family. May they see Your glory displayed in this situation, and may their faith grow as they wait on You. We declare that by His stripes, this brother is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promises, believing that what You have begun, You will complete (Philippians 1:6). Amen.
