Please pray that the truth be revealed about the R60 my friend borrowed from me. That her daughter tell her about the R60,00. They borrow and forget they had.

We join you in bringing this matter before the Lord, and we understand how frustrating it can be when a friend borrows and then seems to forget, even over a small amount like R###. What feels small in amount can feel large when it touches trust and truth between friends, and God cares about both.

Scripture reminds us that honesty and integrity in financial matters matter to God. Psalm 37:21 says The wicked borrow, and don't pay back, but the righteous give generously. And Ephesians 4:25 says Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For with the heart man believes. We also take comfort that nothing is hidden from the Lord, for Luke 8:17 says For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light. He sees what has happened and He is able to bring the truth gently into the light.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, and calling on His name, that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. We come to God together in His name.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this situation to You. You know about this R### that was lent and You know the conversation between this friend and her daughter. We ask that You would bring truth into the light in a peaceful and loving way. We pray that if the daughter remembers, You would give her courage and clarity to speak the truth to her mother in love, and that You would gently stir the memory and conscience of our friend so that there is no confusion or misunderstanding. We ask that You guard this friendship from bitterness or resentment, and help all involved to speak truth in love.

We also pray that You would give our friend who lent the money a spirit of grace and wisdom. Help her to approach her friend with gentleness and not accusation, as Matthew 18:15 teaches us to go and speak privately in love when there is a concern. Let her words be seasoned with grace and let the goal be restoration and peace. We pray that whether the money is remembered and returned or not, You would provide for every need according to Your riches, as Philippians 4:19 promises, and that You would keep her heart free from anxiety, as Philippians 4:6 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

We ask that You help both friends to value honesty, to be faithful in small things, and to forgive freely as You have forgiven us in Colossians 3:13. Let this small matter be an opportunity for truth to prevail and for friendship to be strengthened rather than strained. We trust You to reveal what needs to be revealed and to give peace that passes understanding.

We thank You that You hear us when we pray in the name of Jesus, and we trust Your will to be done. Amen.

You could simply share what you remember, when you lent it, and that you understood her daughter was aware, and ask if she might ask her daughter to help recall. We ask that He would stir the memory and the conscience of your friend and of her daughter, that what was borrowed would be remembered and acknowledged in love, and that no misunderstanding would be allowed to linger between you. May He grant you favour as you speak the truth in love, and may He keep your heart from bitterness or vexation over this matter.

Scripture reminds us, let every man speak truth with his neighbour, and that we should provide things honest in the sight of all men. It is right to desire that debts be honoured and that truth be upheld, and it is also right to commit such small and yet troubling matters into the hands of our faithful God, who cares for every need of His children.

We pray also for your friend and her household, that grace and peace would rest upon them, and that this matter might be settled with kindness and integrity on both sides. If it be possible, go to your friend gently and in meekness, and remind her in love of what was lent, giving opportunity for the truth to be confessed without shame.

Let us pray together. O Father, Thou God of truth, Thou knowest all things, and nothing is hidden from Thine eyes. Look upon Thy child who feels this burden and who desires only what is just and true. Reveal what is hidden, bring to light what has been forgotten, and move the heart of her friend and her daughter to remember and to speak plainly. Grant reconciliation and honesty between them, and keep this friendship from being wounded by suspicion. Above all, give peace to the heart that waits upon Thee, and supply every need according to Thy riches in Christ Jesus. We have heard your prayer concerning the R60 that was lent and we join you in bringing this matter before the Lord. It is right to desire truth and honesty between friends, and God cares deeply about how we deal with one another even in small matters of money.

Scripture teaches that one form of unrighteousness is in money affairs, when we deal unrighteously with our neighbor, and that a good name is better than great riches. Truth is one and stands firm, and when it finds an honest heart it brings light. An honest soul is needed, and when truth lays hold of it, it easily masters it.

We pray now that the Lord who sees all things and loves truth would make what is true plain in a peaceful way. We ask that He would bring to your friend's remembrance what was borrowed, and that if her daughter knows about the R60 she would speak truthfully and kindly to her mother. We ask that God would keep your heart from bitterness and give you both candor, meekness and grace, so that this small amount would not harm your friendship. We pray that God would give you patience and longsuffering as you wait, and help you to speak the truth in love.

It is right to ask God for truth to be made clear. He is the Spirit of truth and He loves truth in our hearts and lives. Jesus said the truth sets us free, and there is great joy when we walk in truth and deal honestly with one another. What matters is not just knowing what is true but living it out with grace and integrity.

I also understand how even a small amount of money can weigh on a friendship. Money in itself is not good or evil. It is our attitude toward it that matters. Scripture teaches that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil, while godliness with contentment is great gain. Money can easily take power over us if we let it, or we can use it in a way that honors God. That is why careful and honest accounting matters, so there is no suspicion or misunderstanding between people.

We see this in Scripture when Josephs brothers found their money returned in their sacks. They were afraid and assumed the worst, but the steward answered them, peace be with you, do not be afraid. God cares about honesty in these small dealings and He also cares about peace between people.

So I pray with you that the Lord will gently bring this to light, that your friends daughter will remember and tell her mother about the R60, and that the truth will be revealed in a way that preserves peace. I pray that God will guard both of your hearts from resentment, that He will help you to speak the truth in love, and that He will keep your friendship rooted in honesty and kindness.

May the Lord also remind you that He is your provider and your redeemer, the one who pays the price to bring us back when we are in need. Trust Him to supply what you need and to work in this situation for good. May He give you contentment as you wait, wisdom in how you speak about it, and grace to forgive if it was truly forgotten.
