We hear your cry, dear sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. Your tears are not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who collects every one of them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). The pain of financial loss, the weight of uncertainty, and the struggle to provide for your daily needs are burdens no one should bear alone. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God is your Provider, your Jehovah Jireh, who sees your needs even before you ask (Matthew 6:8).

First, we must address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the first and greatest provision God offers, and it is the foundation upon which all other blessings rest.

Now, let us pray for your immediate needs:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our sister who is in distress, facing financial hardship, and the pain of loss. Lord, You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13), and You know the depths of her struggle. We ask that You would move mightily on her behalf, restoring what has been lost. You are the God of restoration, who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5). We declare that the money and jewels that have been taken from her will be returned immediately, according to Your will. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of lack and poverty in the name of Jesus, and we command every stolen blessing to be restored sevenfold (Proverbs 6:31).

Father, we ask that You provide for her daily needs, food, medication, and shelter, so that she does not have to sell her household goods. You have promised that if we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). We trust in Your provision, Lord, and we declare that she will not leave South Africa with a bitter taste, but with a testimony of Your faithfulness.

We also pray for peace to flood her heart. The anxiety and fear she feels are not from You, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Calm her spirit, Lord, and fill her with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We rebuke any spirit of despair or hopelessness that may be trying to take root in her life. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that she will walk in the abundance of God’s provision and that her latter days will be greater than her former (Job 42:12).

In the name of Jesus, we command every financial door that has been closed to be opened. We speak blessings over her finances, her health, and her future. We declare that she is a lender and not a borrower (Deuteronomy 28:12), and that she will eat the fruit of her labor (Psalm 128:2). Lord, let Your favor surround her like a shield (Psalm 5:12), and let her see Your hand move in miraculous ways.

We encourage you, dear sister, to hold fast to God’s promises. He is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19), and His word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11). Even in this season of waiting, know that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Do not lose heart, for the testing of your faith produces patience, and patience produces character, and character produces hope (Romans 5:3-4).

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and community. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there may be brothers and sisters in your local church who can offer practical support. Do not isolate yourself in this time, but lean on the family of God.

Lastly, we remind you that your identity is not in your circumstances, but in Christ. You are a child of the Most High God, and He delights in you (Zephaniah 3:17). Your worth is not defined by your possessions, but by the price Jesus paid for you on the cross. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We will continue to stand in the gap for you, believing that God will move mightily on your behalf. May He fill you with His peace, provide for your every need, and restore what the enemy has stolen. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We can’t imagine how exhausting and disheartening this season must feel, one loss after another, and now the thought of leaving with such a bitter ache. The tears, the worry over medicine and food, the strain of selling what you’ve held onto… it all weighs so heavily, and we’re sorry you’re walking through it.

It’s not a sign of weak faith to feel this deeply. When we lose what we’ve counted on, whether through fraud or hard circumstances, it can unsteady us in ways that even prayer sometimes doesn’t immediately calm. You’re not alone in that, and God doesn’t flinch at your tears. He is near.

While we keep asking Him to restore what was taken, we also want to encourage a practical step right now: your local church or a community-based pensioners’ advocacy group might be able to help with emergency food and medication access. Sometimes God’s provision comes through hands we haven’t reached out to yet. It’s not a lack of trust to seek such help, it’s good stewardship of the strength you still have.

Right now we simply pray with you:

Father, you see this dear pensioner and the cruel loss they’ve suffered. You know the fear that comes with an empty pantry and unpaid medicine. We ask you to move in the hearts of those who can help, and if it pleases you, bring back the money and jewels so this weight is lifted. But most of all, hold them steady. Don’t let bitterness become the final taste of a place they’ve called home. Meet them with kindness, open unexpected doors, and remind them they are not forgotten. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Your heart is weighed down with the loss of money and jewels, and the bitter pinch of need is upon you, no means for medicine or bread, your home being stripped bare, and tears your constant portion. I would not for a moment speak lightly of your affliction, for the Lord Jesus Himself looked with compassion upon bodily hunger and pain. Yet I must point you to a loss far more tragic if it be your case, the loss of true rest in God. You cry out concerning earthly treasure, but the Lord cries still more earnestly concerning your soul: “Return, return, return!” Do you hear that voice? It is not the harsh call of a creditor, but the tender pleading of your Father. Turn from your anxious gaze upon what is gone, and look to Him who says, “He that has no money; come, buy, and eat, without money and without price.”

You speak of tears; remember, Christ keeps your tears in His bottle. You feel the emptiness of your purse; think of the unsearchable riches which are yours in Him if you are His child. Is it not written, “They shall be Mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up My jewels”? A soul redeemed by blood is of more value than diamonds. God’s own are His jewels, and though you may be poor and obscure, if you are in Christ you are a treasured possession. These outward things, money, furniture, even the land beneath your feet, may all pass away, but “return unto thy rest, O my soul, for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.” Even now, in your poverty, He deals bountifully if He brings you back to Himself.

I do not know how these valuables were lost, but I do know that the Lord is able to restore or to supply. Yet, dear friend, I dare not bind my prayers to the return of those very trinkets and coins. The greater mercy would be that you find your all in Christ, so that with Job you can say, “The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” What if the loss is a loving hand drawing you to the window, as Noah watched for the dove, that you might look out for better blessings? While we pray for your temporal relief, and we shall, pray you first for that grace which makes the heart sing in a bare house. A crust with the smile of God is a feast. The Holy Spirit can so satisfy you that you will not even remember the jewels, except to count them dung compared to the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus.

If your soul has wandered, if your trust was placed in these fleeting things, then hear the call, “Return now every one from his evil way.” Do not delay. You know not what a day may bring forth. Life is as a vapour. It would be an ugly and bitter thing indeed to leave ### without God, much worse than to leave without your goods. But if you are His, then even death is gain. You are a pensioner, you say; then lean hard upon the pension of heavenly mercy, which is paid not monthly but moment by moment. Come with words, as the prophet says, “Take with you words, and turn to the Lord.” No money is needed at this mercy-seat. Bring your empty hands and your broken heart. Say, “Receive us graciously; comfort our hearts, and let us not leave this place without Thy blessing.”

We pray that if it be His will, the lost may be recovered; but we pray more that you may so return to your rest that whether abased or abounding, you may know the peace which passeth understanding. The prodigal thought only of bread, but the Father ran to meet him and gave him a ring and a robe. You think of medicine and food, He gives His own Son. In that Son there is eternal health and bread which perisheth not. Let this bitter time become the sweet occasion of a homeward step. Return, O you afflicted, to your God, and He will return to you. The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
