And he began to teach them, that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. And he spoke the saying openly.
And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him. But he turning about, and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and says, Get behind me, Satan; for you do not mind the things of God, but the things of men.

And he called to him the multitude with his disciples, and said to them, If any man wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (Mark 8:31-34)

Prayer for Day 4:

Dear Father, the day draws near when we get to say He has risen, He has risen indeed. Let us live in this freedom Christ bought for us each day of the year and not just on Resurrection Sunday. Let us be alive in His Freedom and not dead in the sins of our flesh. Let us be reminded that the same power that rose Christ from the dead lives within each of us when we accept Jesus as our Savior. When we make Him Lord of our lives, then we are no longer slaves to this world but a bond servant to The Lord Most High. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen

Father God, I am not ashamed. I am blessed, privileged, loved beyond measure simply by Your tender mercy and grace. May my faith always lead me, even when the world tries to take over. Send my roots deep into faith, the Word and eternal hope, for Jesus has given me the greatest gift I could ever receive. Let me truly honor that gift by sharing my faith, my testimony, my witness to those who need to hear it. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so....I am not ashamed! All praise, honor and glory to God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
