In Day 9 of the countdown to Easter, let's start by taking a field trip and joining Jesus as he enters his mission at Jerusalem:

Prayer for Day 9:

Dear Father, as we draw nearer to the celebration of Life through Christ, let us not forget that which He went through that we might obtain the free gift of salvation.

Not just during this time leading up to Resurrection Sunday but in each day you bless us with. Help us to see how we are wasting the precious time you have given us when we focus on the world and not you. Open our eyes to the mission field you have prepared us for and help us to see the seriousness of Easter and light within each of us a desire to spread Your life saving message.

Jesus says to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, but by me.

If you have known me, you will also know my Father: and from now on you know him, and have seen him.

Gracious Father, I humbly lay down my cloak and pray that You would open my eyes, ears, mind and heart to recognize the mission You have given me. Whatever is required, I know You will lead me and provide me the necessary tools to be effective. Grant me Your wisdom and discernment to know who needs to be invited to walk with me along this cloak lined road. In the precious name of Jesus, I praise You and ask to be clearly focused on being within Your will. Amen.
