I thought it would be a good to focus on something different each day on the 10 days leading up to the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This year Easter will be in ten days on Sunday, April 12, 2009.
Today, I wanted to just share a prayer I found from someone doing a similar countdown for kids. Each day has a separate activity for them that teaches some lesson about Easter. This might be a good idea if you have children.
Here is the prayer for today:
Dear Father, let us always remember that our Spirit is willing but our flesh is weak. Help us to find discipline in Jesus that we may focus on Him and not the desires of this world. As Resurrection Sunday approaches help us not to fall away with all the preparations that will be going on. Instead, help us each day to focus on the reason we are able to celebrate: The tomb is empty and Jesus is Alive. In His Name we pray, Amen
