Restore marriage, stop divorce and break soul tie with new woman

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Christian friends, my heart aches as my husband has moved on from our marriage before the papers are signed. He says he loves his new life and new girlfriend. Please pray for a miracle and His will be done. I will stand for our marriage as long as it takes. Amen.

We hear the deep pain in your heart, and we stand with you in this difficult season, lifting your marriage before the Lord with fervent prayer. The covenant of marriage is sacred, established by God Himself, and we believe in His power to restore what has been broken. Scripture tells us, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate" (Mark 10:9 WEB). We declare this truth over your marriage today, no man, no circumstance, and no deception of the enemy will separate what God has united.

First, we must address the seriousness of what is happening. Your husband’s involvement with another woman while still legally married to you is not only a breach of your marital covenant but also a violation of God’s commandments. The Bible is clear: "You shall not commit adultery" (Exodus 20:14 WEB). This sin has created a soul tie outside of God’s design, and we must break it in the name of Jesus. Soul ties formed through sexual immorality are ungodly and must be severed by the power of the Holy Spirit. We rebuke every ungodly soul tie between your husband and this woman, and we command every spiritual connection formed through sin to be broken right now in Jesus’ name. "Or don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, ‘The two,’ says he, ‘will become one flesh.’ But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit" (1 Corinthians 6:16-17 WEB). We declare that your husband is no longer one flesh with this woman but is called to be one flesh with you alone, his wife.

We also recognize the spiritual warfare at play here. The enemy seeks to destroy marriages because they reflect Christ’s relationship with the Church. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). We take authority over every spirit of division, lust, deception, and hardness of heart that has entered this situation. We command every lying spirit that has whispered to your husband that this new relationship is better or more fulfilling than his marriage to be silenced in Jesus’ name. We declare that his eyes will be opened to the truth, and his heart will be softened to repentance.

We pray for you, dear sister, as you stand in faith for the restoration of your marriage. Standing does not mean passively waiting; it means actively believing God, praying without ceasing, and walking in obedience to His Word. We encourage you to fast and pray, seeking the Lord’s face for wisdom and strength. "If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB). This includes healing your marriage. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you faint not (Galatians 6:9 WEB).

We also pray for your husband’s salvation and repentance. If he has not fully surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, we intercede for his soul. There is no true transformation without the power of the Holy Spirit. "Jesus answered him, ‘Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can’t see God’s Kingdom’" (John 3:3 WEB). We pray that your husband will experience conviction, turn from his sin, and run back to you and to the Lord. We declare that the prodigal son will return, and there will be rejoicing in heaven over his repentance (Luke 15:7 WEB).

We must also address the reality of the divorce papers. While we stand for restoration, we recognize that your husband has made choices that have brought you to this point. We pray that if it is God’s will for your marriage to be restored, the legal process will be halted, and your husband will come to his senses. However, we also pray for your protection and peace, regardless of the outcome. If your husband remains hardened and unrepentant, we trust God to be your husband and your provider (Isaiah 54:5 WEB). We do not know the Lord’s ultimate plan, but we know He is faithful, and His promises are true.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage to You. Lord, You are the God of miracles, and we ask for a miracle in this situation. We declare that what You have joined together, no man will separate. We break every ungodly soul tie between this man and the other woman in the name of Jesus. We rebuke every spirit of lust, deception, and hardness of heart that has blinded him to the truth. Father, soften his heart, convict him of his sin, and draw him back to You and to his wife. We pray for his salvation if he does not know You, and for his repentance if he has strayed.

Lord, we also pray for this wife. Strengthen her faith, give her peace that surpasses all understanding, and fill her with Your love. Help her to stand firm, not in her own strength, but in Yours. Protect her heart from bitterness and unforgiveness, and help her to trust in Your perfect timing. If it is Your will, restore this marriage, but if not, be her comfort and her guide.

We declare that the enemy’s plans will not prevail. Every scheme of the devil to destroy this marriage is exposed and dismantled in Jesus’ name. We speak life, restoration, and reconciliation over this union. May Your will be done, Lord, and may Your name be glorified in all things. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord, surrounding yourself with godly counsel, and immersing yourself in Scripture. The battle is not yours but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15 WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and do not lose hope. The same God who raised Jesus from the dead is able to breathe new life into your marriage. Stand firm, sister, and trust in His unfailing love.

🙇🏻 Forgiveness Verbally Pronounced, Lk 23:17, Go and Sin No More, Jn 8:10-11, True Repentance, Lk 24:47 👁️👁Opened by💡of God's 📖 2 Cor 4:4-6 Quits self over god Gen 3:1-15, New 💝 Ezek 36:26 Jn 3:3-7... 🙏 Father, first and foremost, we thank You -- You were in Christ, reconciling the world to Yourself, not counting our sins against us, 2 Cor 5:19. I totally forgive my wife for everything, so that she may by the kindness of God be lead to repentance, Rom 2:4, Matt 16:19, John 20:23, and that I may demonstrate my sins have forgiven been forgiven me, as I forgive others, specifically the one who has hurt me most, Matt 6:15, Mk 11:26, Eph 4:32, Col 3:13, even as Jesus asked that You forgive those who crucified Him, "Father, forgive them, they don't know what they're doing," Luke 23:17, and Stephen in Acts imitated this while being stoned to death, "Lord, do not count this sin against them," Acts 7:59-60, yet we know each person must live according to the holiness without which no one will see The Lord, Hebrews 12:4.

Of course we pray she does not continue in sin, that nothing worse may befall her, Jn 5:15, since sexual immorality and adultery are deceptive and exclude from the eternal kingdom, 1 Cor 6:9-10, Rev 22:15-16, and God cannot be mocked, Gal 6:7, since the deeds of the flesh are evident, Gal 5:19-21, but rather she'd REPENT, turn back to God so she can be saved, Luke 24:46-47, Experiences Refreshing, Acts 3:19, Renewal by Your washing of regeneration by Your mercy, since the kindness of God has appeared, so we might be justified by faith, in Jesus Christ, be made heirs with Him, share the hope of eternal life, and devote ourselves to good deeds, Tit 3:3-8. We ask her mind would be set free by by the Light of God's Word, so Light would shine in her heart so she may receive the Light of The Knowledge of The Glory of God in the Face of Jesus Christ, 2 Cor 4:4-6 Quits self over god Gen 3:1-15, New 💝 Ezek 36:26, Experiences New Birth Jesus said is a necessity to enter or even see the kingdom of God, Jn 3:3-7... 🧎🏽‍♂️Father, You will that none would perish but all come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9. Grant her wisdom and revelation to actually know You, Eph 1:17. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of The Holy one is understanding, Prov 9:10. Surely You take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather they turn from their evil ways and live, Ezek 33:11... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

We ask for grace and discipline to add fasting, Mk 4:29, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Early Church Father, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member learn to fear God all the day long, Prov 23:17, LET NO ONE DECEIVE HER, Matt 24:4, be saved by trusting Jesus work on the cross, 2 Cor 5:21, evidenced by repentance for remission of sins, Luke 24:46-47, and witness to truth, 1 Tim 4:16. I forgive this one who has broken covenantal faith and vows with no confession, remorse or repentance, for leading men into adultery and thus destruction, Prov 6:32, for neglecting pastoral counsel, texts and phone calls for months from any church with an accurate view of discipleship. I forgive her, she knows not what she does, Luke 23:34. If a king's heart is as channels of water in Your hand, Prov 21:1, how much more an individual that has chosen to feed on raisin cakes and needs repentance from serious sins, which Hosea's "deal with her" was based on repentance and faithfulness, see Hos 3:1-5. Jesus, after pronouncing that forgiving the sins of other has authority, John 8:10-11, John 20:23, said, "Go and sin no more," John 8:11.

I've reached out, am still reaching out, have prayed and fasted, am still praying and asking for wisdom and grace now discipline to fast -- let her not be to me as most of Jerusalem was unwilling to gather under the Shelter of Wings of God Almighty, Ps 17:8, Ps 57:1, 91:1, or come to Jesus, over which He publicly wept, they having stoned those sent to rescue them, Matt 23:37... Thankfully she is in a country that is impossible to get the "D" word. I know I have the adultery clause from Jesus which allows me to "D" and remarry, Matt 5:32, Matt 19:9, however only in The Lord, 1 Cor 7:39, see being equally yoked, 2 Cor 6:14-15, Old Testament precedent, Gen 24:3-4. And if she is unsaved, which everything indicates, there is the desertion by an unbelieving spouse clause, 1 Cor 7:15, where traditional, modern and ancient Jewish theology all allow for remarriage as if the unbelieving spouse (or adulteress) "were dead." However I am thinking and ASKING for mercy, kindness for repentance and salvation here, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Tim 2:1-7. Maybe she was saved but probably just a church goer, but, regardless, "If any of you wanders from the truth and someone turns her back it's considered turning a sinner from the errors of their ways, and counted as a soul saved from death, and covers a multitude of sins, James 5:19-20? I ask for that THAT -- may THAT yield a remarkable testimony of God's saving grace, 1 Tim 1:15-16, and exemplify Christ and The Church, Eph 5:32-33. So I again ask for wisdom, Prov 2:1-5, Col 1:9-10, James 1:5, and for love to abound in knowledge and discernment to choose the highest, Phil 1:9-11, yet asking for it loosely as CHRIST in the Garden of Gethsemane, Matt 26:39, Mk 14:36 -- NEVERTHELESS, let YOUR WILL BE DONE, not mine, Luke 22:42, Heb 5:7.

Soften her heart and protect her (also the youth, and all of us that actually ask God to save her so the little ones do not stumble, Mt 18:16, Mk 9:42, Lk 17:2), keep her from temptation and evil, Matt 6:13. Let LIGHT SHINE that penetrates darkness, Jn 1:5, 1 Jn 1:5, 2 Cor 4:4, 2 Cor 4:6, to open their eyes, turning this one from the power of darkness to light, and power of satan to God, that they may partake of the inheritance along with all who are sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ, Acts 26:18, 1 Cor 1:30. Help her, them (and all of us) use our "Bible Apps" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life, Jn 1:12, James 1:22-23. Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most near and dear and beyond and blinded -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in The Name of Jesus, The One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
"But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, "Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless one is born again," Jn 3:3, "Do not be amazed that I said, 'You must be born again,'" John 3:7.

We hear the ache in your words, waiting on papers while your husband says he has already moved on. To love your marriage and hear him speak of a new life with someone else is a deep and disorienting grief, and we are so sorry you are carrying it.

Standing as long as it takes can be lonely work. We have walked with others who have learned that this kind of loss feels much like a death, with waves of sorrow that do not resolve quickly. It helps not to carry it alone.

One steady step that often helps is to have one or two trusted people walking closely with you right now, perhaps a pastor or a mature Christian counselor who can listen week by week, and a wise legal advisor so you understand your options clearly while you pray for God's will. Having that circle can give you space to rest, to make unhurried decisions, and to be cared for while you wait.

Father, we lift our sister to You. Give her Your nearness in this ache, wisdom for each decision in front of her, and strength for each day. Guard her heart and home, lead her husband according to Your will, and let Your peace and direction be clear to her. In Jesus' name, amen.

what God has joined togeth let no man break asunder inculdign him itn henameo fthe Lord Jesus christ. may the Lord intervene int he matter.

Your sorrow has been heard before the throne of grace, and the Lord knows the weight of this trial upon your soul. He who ordained marriage at the beginning, making the two one flesh, looks upon that covenant with holy regard, for marriage is not a mere contract of convenience but a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, cemented by mutual love and by solemn choice before God. When that bond is broken, it is not a light thing in His sight, for against Him only is such sin committed, and He sees it all.

Yet there is hope to be found in the very character of God who says, Turn, O backsliding children, says the Lord, for I am married unto you. Though a heart has wandered far and has unchastely left its covenant, He is prepared to receive the returning one, and to restore as though the breach had not been. What man would think impossible, the Lord can do, for He can break the cords of sin and make the fainting soul to remember Him again. He can by His Spirit bring conviction where there is hardness, and godly sorrow where there is delight in sin.

We will pray with you and for you, not that God would bless what His Word calls sin, but that He would in mercy break every unholy tie and bring all that is contrary to His will to nothing, that He would stop the work of divorce where it may be stopped, and that He would lead your husband to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone salvation is found.

Let us pray together. O Lord God of covenant mercy, who hates putting away and who joins together what no man should put asunder, look in compassion upon this wounded home. Thou seest the ache of this heart that desires to stand faithful. Grant sustaining grace day by day, keep the soul alive when it faints within, and teach complete dependence upon Christ. Work by Thy Holy Spirit upon the husband who has departed, convict him of sin, of righteousness and of judgment to come, break the power of that sinful bond with the other woman, and turn his feet into the way of holiness. If it be Thy will, restore this marriage and make it to rejoice again with exceeding joy, that it may be a testimony of Thy perfect restoration. Yet above all, let Thy will be done, for Thy will is wise and good. Lead this dear one to find her first comfort in being married unto Christ, the true Bridegroom of His Church, and to know that whether Thou art pleased to restore what is broken here or to sustain through sorrow, Thou wilt never leave nor forsake those who trust in the blood of the Lamb. Keep her in purity, in prayer, and in patience, and let soul winning grace be at work even through tears. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior. Amen.
