We come before You, Lord God, with heavy hearts, seeking Your justice and mercy in this situation. We know that You are a God of truth and righteousness, and You despise dishonesty and deceit. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22:22-23, "Don’t exploit the poor, because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them." We stand on Your Word, believing that You will bring about justice for those who have been wronged.
Father, we pray for this business man who has been evasive and dishonest. We ask that You would soften his heart and convict him of his wrongdoing. In Ezekiel 36:26, You promise, "I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." We pray that You would do this very work in him, that he may repent and make right what he has done wrong.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and patience for the one who is owed. Help them to trust in You and not lean on their own understanding, as Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs. Give them the strength to wait on Your timing and the courage to take any necessary steps to resolve this matter in a way that honors You.
We rebuke the spirit of dishonesty and deceit that has taken hold in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper, according to Isaiah 54:17. We pray that the funds owed would be restored fully and promptly, and that this business man would come to know the freedom that comes from walking in integrity and truth.
Father, we also want to address the importance of forgiveness. While we pray for justice and restoration, we also ask that You would help the one who has been wronged to release any bitterness or resentment. In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus teaches, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Help them to forgive this man, even as they seek justice, so that their own heart may remain pure before You.
Lord, we trust in Your provision and Your timing. We know that You are a God who sees and knows all things, and we believe that You will work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We pray for complete restoration of the funds owed, and we ask that this situation would ultimately bring glory to Your name.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
