We join you in lifting up your family before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus, and we thank you for acknowledging that He is the Son of God and the only way to the Father. As Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. It is only through His blood that we have protection, forgiveness and access to God, and we rejoice that you have pleaded that blood over your household.
We stand with you for your younger daughter as she travels, studies and works. We pray that the Lord will keep her in all her ways, for He will keep your going out and your coming in Psalm 121:8, and that He will give her wisdom beyond her years. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We ask God to guard her from unwise financial decisions and to surround her with godly friendships, for we know Don't be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals 1 Corinthians 15:33. We pray for her complete healing, for by his wounds you were healed Isaiah 53:5, and for the peace of God which surpasses all understanding to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7 and to bring calm to her surroundings.
We also lift up your older daughter with deep concern and love, and we must speak truthfully about what you have shared. Living outside of marriage, that is living together in a sexual relationship without being married, is not according to God's design and is called fornication in Scripture. We say this not to condemn but to lovingly rebuke and call toward restoration, because God desires holiness for His children. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4, and we are commanded to Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18. God's perfect will for sexual intimacy is only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, and any relationship should be a courtship toward that godly marriage with a fellow believer, not a partnership outside of it. We pray that the Lord will open her eyes to see this truth, that He will break every controlling and dishonest hold over her, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty 2 Corinthians 3:17, and that He will free her from isolation and financial exploitation. We pray He will draw her back to Himself, to her family, and to a godly path, and that if it is His will for her to be married, He will bring a godly husband who will honor her and Christ, and that she will not be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14.
We join you in praying for your son. We ask the Lord to lift all torment and confusion from him, for God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We pray He will restore his peace, heal his heart, for He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3, and restore his ability to communicate clearly and to walk in breakthrough without setback. We pray the Lord will establish him and guard him from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3.
We agree with you for your home, that it would be filled with the Holy Spirit so that nothing empty remains for the enemy to return to. Jesus warned that when an unclean spirit leaves a man, if the house is found empty, swept, and put in order, the spirit returns with others more wicked Matthew 12:43-45. Therefore we pray your home would be filled full with the Word, with prayer, with worship and with love, and that the love and unity between you and your children would be strong and unbreakable, for Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity Psalm 133:1. We pray that you would be blessed with wisdom, courage and favor as you navigate this difficult season, that you would Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6, and that you would not fear for the Lord says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
We pray together now for your hedge of protection and full armor. Father in the name of Jesus we plead the blood of Christ over this dear parent and over each child. We ask You to put Your angels in charge of them, to guard them in all their ways Psalm 91:11, for are they not all serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation Hebrews 1:14. We pray they will Put on the whole armor of God, that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11, with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the feet fitted with the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word. Surround this family with Your presence, let no weapon formed against them prosper Isaiah 54:17, and let Your Holy Spirit fill every room and every heart. We ask for complete restoration, for You to restore to them the years that the swarming locust has eaten Joel 2:25, and to make their family whole in You. We trust You to answer according to Your perfect will and we thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name. Amen.
