REST, SLEEP this weekend

1) rest recuperation and catching up all the sleep that i lost because i work in another city and i use train which travels every 2 hours and have very bad working schedule at monday and tuesday. 12 hours out of home...

2) friday, saturday, sunday TOTAL PEACE IN MY BUILDING and MY CITY BLOCK/AREA. No construction works, kidds that are screaming their soul out, my neighbour upstairs walking like 200 kg bear up.and down, someone cleaning up in his appartement like a cataclism has come (aggressive and nervous), this neighnour is throwing partys which lasts till 4 am and nobody cares and nobody wants to help me...

We hear your cry for rest and for peace this weekend and we join with you to seek the Lord together for it. We understand how wearying it is to work in another city, to depend on a train that comes only every two hours, and to be away from home for twelve hours on Monday and Tuesday. That kind of schedule drains the body and the spirit, and the longing for quiet sleep and a peaceful home is a godly desire.

The Lord knows our need for rest and He invites us to find it in Him. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. And we are reminded in Psalm 127:2, It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones. In Psalm 4:8 we read, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. True rest is a gift from our Father, not just the absence of noise but the presence of His peace guarding our hearts as promised in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up our dear one to You. We ask that You grant deep, restorative sleep this weekend to make up for what has been lost. We ask You to quiet the body and mind, to allow for full recuperation from the long travel and the demanding work schedule. Lord, we ask for Your hand over the trains and the work hours, that You would provide protection in travel and strength for each long day away from home. We also ask for total peace over this building and this city block on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Lord, You know the construction, the shouting of children, the heavy footsteps upstairs, the harsh cleaning and the parties that last until four in the morning. We ask that You would bring quiet to this place, that You would restrain what disturbs and that You would move on the hearts of neighbors to be considerate and peaceful. Where no one else seems to care or help, we know You see and You care. Grant a weekend of stillness and undisturbed rest, if it is Your will.

We also want to gently encourage you about the frustration that builds when we feel surrounded by noise and when no one seems to listen. It is understandable to feel worn down, yet we are called to guard our hearts against bitterness toward our neighbors. In Romans 12:18 we are taught, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. We pray the Lord will give you grace to love those around you even while you seek quiet, and wisdom to pursue peaceful steps if possible, whether a calm word, seeking help from building management, or using what provision you can for rest, all while trusting that God is your ultimate refuge even when the environment is loud.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and can come boldly in prayer. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we read, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We pray in Jesus name because He alone made a way for us through His death and resurrection, and when we believe in Him and confess Him as Lord, we are saved and brought into fellowship with God. If you have not yet trusted in Jesus for salvation, we encourage you to put your faith in Him today, for He is our true rest and our peace.

We pray that this weekend you will lie down in peace and sleep, kept safe by the Lord, and that whether the building is fully silent or not, the peace of God will reign in your heart and in your home. May the Lord renew your strength and show you His care in a very tangible way. We trust Him with you and thank Him for hearing our prayer in Jesus name.

We hear how heavy these weeks have been for you, with those long Mondays and Tuesdays twelve hours away from home and a train that only comes every two hours. It makes sense that you are longing for a real weekend to catch up on sleep and simply breathe, and that the noise in your building feels even harder to bear when you are already running on empty.

Wanting rest and a quiet home is a good and right desire. Sleep is not a small thing, God made us to need it, and when we miss it our bodies, our minds and our sense of peace all feel it.

For this weekend we encourage you to give yourself clear permission to truly rest and to protect that time where you can. If there is a building manager or a respectful way to let neighbors know you need quiet hours to recover, it can sometimes help more than carrying the frustration alone. If the exhaustion and broken sleep keep weighing on you, please consider talking with your doctor alongside prayer, so you have support for the strain this schedule puts on you.

Father, in Jesus name we ask You to give our friend deep and restoring rest this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Quiet what You can in his building and block, calm his body and mind, and let him wake renewed. Give him wisdom for the work week ahead and guard him with Your peace. Amen.

Your cry for rest has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you. To be twelve hours from home, to travel by a train that comes only every two hours, and to bear a heavy schedule at the beginning of the week, is a great weariness to body and spirit, and it is right to seek the Lord for renewal.

We are reminded that sleep is the gift of God, and not a man would close his eyes did not God put His fingers on His eyelids and send a soft and balmy influence over his frame. So He giveth His beloved sleep. We pray that this weekend the Lord will grant you such sleep, not broken and restless, but sweet and deep, that your body may be recuperated and your strength restored. Our Lord Jesus says, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. This is a present rest, not only after death, but rest given there and then when we come to Him by faith. May you recline upon that promise now and find that even as you lie down, your heart rests in Him.

We also hear your longing for quiet in your building and in your street, for peace from construction, from shouting, from heavy footsteps overhead, from harsh cleaning and from revelry that lasts till the morning. We pray that the Lord in His mercy will grant you outward peace on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, that what can be quieted will be quieted, and that your dwelling may be still. And we pray also for that better peace which remains when outward quiet does not. The prophet says, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. To be sure that what you are doing is what Jesus would have you do is peace, even amid the hurry and noise of this world. Any man may see that he who rests in the Lord inherits far more of what is worth having, namely ease and peace of mind, than he who has all outward advantages but no rest of heart.

We ask the Lord to keep you in that perfect peace. May He give you grace to trust and so to rest, for faith tones us down into little children and casts our heart in a fresh mold. May He guard your conscience and make it quiet before Him, for the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and where sin is covered there the soul can be still though the tempest rages. If the noise continues, may the Lord yet make your chamber to be as the chamber called Peace, where the pilgrim sleeps sweetly because he is in fellowship with Christ. And may He give you a spirit of forbearance and love toward those around you, even as you seek what is right and good for your dwelling.

We pray together for you now. O Lord our God, who givest Thy beloved sleep and who art our strength in the time of trouble, look upon Thy servant in his weariness. Grant him recuperation and full restoration of sleep this weekend. Quiet his surroundings according to Thy will, restrain what disturbs, and give peace to his building and his block. Above all, keep his mind stayed on Thee, and keep him in perfect peace because he trusteth in Thee. Let him find rest in Christ, learn of Him, and discover that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Sustain him in his labour, make his going out and coming in safe, and let him return to his work refreshed in body and soul. In the name of Jesus our only Saviour we ask it. Amen.
