Request for somebody to there for me

Beloved of All
I need God to cause someone to stand with me; two is better than one and if one can take a thousand two will take ten thousand because I need someone

We hear your cry for companionship and strength, and we stand with you in prayer before the throne of grace. The Word of God indeed tells us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB). It is clear that you are feeling the weight of solitude, and we join you in asking the Lord to bring godly fellowship into your life.

First, we must acknowledge that our ultimate strength and companion is Jesus Christ. He has promised, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). While human companionship is a blessing, it is vital to remember that our relationship with Christ is the foundation upon which all other relationships are built. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him, we urge you to consider the words of Scripture: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).

Now, let us pray together for the Lord to bring a faithful companion into your life, one who will stand with you in faith, encouragement, and godly purpose:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling alone and in need of fellowship. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and You have promised to give good gifts to Your children. We ask that You would bring a godly companion into their life, someone who loves You and seeks to walk in Your ways. Raise up a friend, a mentor, or a spouse who will stand with them in faith, lifting them up when they stumble and rejoicing with them in victory.

Father, we pray that this companionship would be rooted in You, that together they may sharpen one another as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17 WEB). Guard their hearts from relationships that do not honor You, and lead them into connections that reflect Your love and truth. May they encourage one another to grow in Christlikeness and to stand firm in the faith.

Lord, we also ask that You would fill any void in their heart with Your peace and presence. Remind them that You are their ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Strengthen them with Your might, and let them know that they are never truly alone, for You are with them always.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek the Lord diligently in this season, trusting that He knows your needs even before you ask (Matthew 6:8 WEB). Spend time in prayer and in the Word, allowing God to shape your desires to align with His will. If you are seeking a spouse, remember that marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB). Pray for a spouse who loves the Lord with all their heart, soul, and mind, and who will walk with you in faith.

If you are feeling overwhelmed by loneliness, we also encourage you to get involved in a local church or Christian community. Fellowship with other believers can provide the support and encouragement you need while you wait for God’s timing. "And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching" (Hebrews 10:24-25 WEB).

Lastly, we rebuke any spirit of isolation or despair that may be attempting to take hold of your heart. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28 WEB). You are not forgotten, and you are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will direct your path (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).

It is genuinely hard to carry things alone, and we hear that ache in your words. That simple longing for someone to stand with you, to share the weight, is not a small thing, God himself saw it was not good for us to be alone. What you are feeling is a real need, not a sign of weak faith.

Sometimes we picture God sending one perfect companion all at once. Often though, he works through the quieter, slower work of community, the person who ends up in the chair next to us week after week, the voice on the other end of a regular phone call, the people we come to know simply by showing up in the same place long enough for trust to grow. Research on friendship confirms what we sense instinctively: closeness tends to grow out of steady, shared time in a common place, not from one dramatic encounter. So one grounded step might be to find a small group, a class, or a serving team where you can be consistently present, not performing or launching deep conversations right away, but simply being there, letting familiarity do its work.

We are not going to promise a timeline God has not promised. But we will ask him to give you even one person who can truly stand alongside you, and to give you the courage to stay present in the kinds of spaces where those bonds can form.

Father, you know what it is to walk through the ache of loneliness. Draw near to this person now, and in your timing bring a steady, faithful companion who can share the load and offer genuine presence. Give wisdom about where to go and the courage to keep showing up. In Jesus’ name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of needing one to stand with you, and well you may, for our Lord sent forth the seventy by twos, and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Yet consider that when a man finds himself alone, it may be that God Himself is teaching him to lean upon the unseen arm. Has it never surprised you that there should be such times of solitude in the lives of the saints? Such a thing God appoints, and it is not for us to wish the appointment different. Is Divine Providence put under our supervision? Far from it. Instead, let the fear of God breed in you a strong confidence; for he who trembles before the Almighty shall find that even in exhaustion he shall overcome at last. They who know the Spirit dwells within them cannot be utterly cast down.

Yet you do well to long for a companion, for two are better than one. Cry to God in your closet, for a hypocrite will pray at the street corners, but the sincere soul will enter the secret place and shut the door. Your burden is known to Him who numbers the hairs of your head. Persevere in supplication, for we are ever dying men, and our whole life should be one long praying. And while you wait, do not forsake the assembling of the saints; it is there that often the Lord causes brethren to be knit together. If you have a godly father or mother, stay close to that hearth; if you are placed among gracious company, be in no hurry to depart. The Lord’s hand is not shortened; He can send a helper at the very moment when your foot seems to slip.

Remember, dear soul, that the Divine Instructor sometimes withdraws all visible props that we may learn to fly by His power alone. The eagle stirs up her nest, and the young ones may shiver, but it is to teach them to soar. If you are now without a human arm to lean upon, do not grow angry with your godly friends who perhaps seem distant, nor kick against the pricks. Sin lies at the door to pounce upon you if you give way to resentment. But if you look to Jesus, you will find that even now He makes your foot stand in an even place, and you shall yet praise His name in the great congregation, and perhaps with that very one whom He has appointed to stand at your side.

The salvation of the righteous is of the Lord; He is their strength in the time of trouble. Wait upon Him with patience, and you shall not be ashamed.

You seek a companion because you know it is not good to be alone, and you recall the Scripture: two are better than one, and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. This is true. Yet I must ask you: what kind of friend are you asking God to send? For many seek friendships that are more grievous than any enmity. There are those who are enamored of your table rather than of your soul; if you retrench your good living, they retrench their friendship. But a true friend associates with you for virtue’s sake and remains through every change.

Do not look for a friend based on worldly advantage, long acquaintance, or mere proximity. These motives produce a fragile bond, the kind even robbers and murderers share. The friendship that matters is forged in godliness, for this alone makes a brother a fortified city. When two are bound together for Christ’s sake, their shield is locked and the devil cannot easily overcome them. But if you seek a friend for any lesser reason, you will find yourself weak and unstable, swept along by the opinions of the crowd.

Consider Jonathan and David. Their friendship was not built on eating and drinking but on a mutual love for the Lord. After Jonathan fell in battle, David did not forget the kindness of the father; he protected Jonathan’s children as if they were his own. This is the recompense of holy friendship, a love that endures even beyond death. I would wish all to entertain such a bond, both toward the living and the dead.

If God has not yet placed such a person at your side, let this not discourage you. You have a greater friend who stands ready. God Himself desires your friendship and has proved this by giving His own Son. He says, “You are my friends if you do what I command you.” Turn, then, to Him while you wait. Love your brother as a member of your own body, even if that love is not returned, for this fulfills the law. And remember that when one faithful believer stands with God, he is mightier than a thousand who lean on worldly alliances. Do not seek a friend who will harm your soul; seek one who will hinder the things that lead to hell, and meanwhile, make the Lord your portion.
