We have been lifting her before the Lord in these days, asking God to show mercy to one who has been vocal in unbelief throughout her life and who now appears to be on her deathbed. We were moved by your remembrance that it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment Heb 9:27, and we share your burden for an end stage conversion if the Lord deems it according to His will and mercy.
We continue to pray that the Lord, who is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance 2 Pet 3:9, would draw her to Himself even in this late hour. We remember that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved Rom 10:13 and how Jesus showed mercy to the thief on the cross Luke 23:43, and we ask for that same grace to be extended to her.
Father we bring this precious soul before Your throne of grace and ask that if it be Your will You would open her eyes, soften her heart, and grant her repentance and faith in Your Son while there is still time. We ask that You would make Yourself known to her and that she would put her trust in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. We ask that You would comfort and strengthen the one who requested prayer and give peace in Your perfect will. We pray all these things in Jesus Name Amen.
